There were reports on social media suggesting that the Mavin Record star must have paid heavily to get his result.
Bello graduated four days ago from the institute with a distinction in Mass Communication (HND).
At the 5th convocation on Friday, April 20, the Institute presented one thousand three hundred and forty-one (1,341) “graduands of five academic sessions from 2013-2017 sets.”
The HND award list, had Korede Bello among the seven (7) students that graduated with distinction in the 2017 set of the institute.
Apart from that, he was also awarded the best student in “Editorial Writing” by the institute.
Bello, in an Instagram post, narrated why he refused to allow stardom stop him from finishing school.
He wrote, “I initially didn’t want to post this for many reasons, but I was wrong on all counts.
“I’d be doing millions of young people and my peers a disservice by not boldly putting it out there that impossiblity is a myth; you can be Talented and Distinguished; Famous and Dignified; Celebrated and Educated, you can be a MEGA SUPER STAR with a MEGA SUPER VISION. For this I am grateful to God.
“The main reason I endured to the finish line was because I needed to push myself and also to be a light for a lot of young Nigerians who think you cannot be an established Artiste and still achieve academic excellence. I endured because #MyPeople needed a role model.
“A few days before I got signed, I was still looking for tuition fees, so I understand the experience that some of you go through. But just as HE came through for me , HE’ll come through for you.
“No, it wasn’t easy but it was worth it. I was graced and I’m grateful.
“And no,I didn’t buy my result but I paid for it through hard work, commitment and sacrifice (time and music). You can too. I believe in you, I believe in us. #DistinguishedNigerianYouths.”From dailypost

Nigerians and their sick ways of questioning great achievements. If it's failure now, they will believe it 1000%. Enjoy your success jare Korede
ReplyDeleteMadam nobody’s questioning anybody’s “achievements”. If you were in the same class with him, you’d understand why we’re all raising eyebrows. This nigga used to stab classes like it was nothing, he’d miss a lot of tests and class quizzes, and you’d not even know he was a student because of how rare his appearance to school was. Although this doesn’t necessarily mean that he should not pass, graduating with a distinction is a really huge feat that only very serious students accomplish. Besides, he should have just kept mute about this whole matter whether he bought the result or not. Nobody was even saying anything although we were all suspicious. Now he’s just looking more guilty than ever.
DeleteCongratulations korede, you deserve some accolades Jare
ReplyDeleteYou did so well, leave Nigerians, it's normal to talk
People will talk but that doesn't define you.
Enjoy your hardwork
Thumbs up to his last sentence.
ReplyDeleteWell done Korede, if your beautiful course mate Grace (who is visually impaired can make a distinction) why not you.
All of them on that list deserve 'accolade' but I am most proud of Grace, may your name see you through.
Trash talk
DeleteWhy compare Miss Grace with Korede and for you to bring up her disability makes you foolish.
For the records, people with disabilities are more sound academically than people like you.
Thank you.
Calm down I don't mean any harm or to be insensitive. If anything I admire her and her achievement, it is not easy. Una go just dey para like say una dey quarrel with somebody, if you must 'correct' me or anybody don't ever use insultive words.
DeleteI know they're very sound, I don't live a hole.
The same Korede that used to ball in and out of class whenever he likes, miss quizzes and tests and exams? Okay na. If you know you know.
ReplyDeleteGrace said korede is a really serious student and always find time to do his assignment and gt submitted
ReplyDeleteWow,more grace......na God win at last
ReplyDeleteNa Godwin oh...
