LOOKING FOR LOVE

Thanks for this platform Stella it has been like a place of solace and companion for me.
Since 2014 I came here.
I'm a young lady of 27,we lost our dad at a tender age, the marriage was barely five year old when my dad died in Lagos and it produced three kids which I'm the second and first daughter. My mum suffered to raise us, when I mean suffer, you know when someone does daily labour at building sites and quarry.

We sold anything sellable and any seasonal stuff like fruits during their seasons just to survive ... I remember some people then mocking and taunting us then ..that must we sell everything each time such seasons comes?
During rainy seasons, corn and pears moves for us and under rain we sell them especially the boiled corn.

Luck smiled on me when my mom's distant cousin gave my mom about 10k naira to change my secondary school to a good one. But any good school then was in town, so you must transport yourself to go there, because i was intelligent then even if I come to school three times to school I still maintained my second position in results.. But because of transport fare to any other school I told my mom to use that money and start selling cooked food.

That was how God smiled on us,  gradually we became known in my area because a university is in my village.. The restaurant boomed so well, I augmented schooling and my moms business so during waec and jamb I made it once and gained admission in that university. Still running the business with my mom and siblings... But among my siblings I was the one who feels my mom's pains a lot. I have a strict and harsh mother..the kind of mother you can't tell your fears as a teenager, the kind of mother  you cann of tell a guy made advances at you. I and siblings lived in fear around my mom, we preferred her staying far from us then..lol my kid sis even bribed us severally with her meals to beg my mother so she can live with an aunty then hopefully it worked for her.

So during adolescent ages it was  a sis in-law that told me about menstruation, whatever else I needed to know was what I read about womanhood. So during my second year in university I visited someone i saw as  a mentor, my NIFES brother in school then, he said he has a hand made card for me. Excitedly I went to his lodge then.. That was how I was raped by this powerful man..I was shaking profusely after it ,

he became scared, started begging that it was the devil that he can't believe he did this to me, in his words he said because he was a  trained army in Kaduna they get what the want even forcefully but he didn't mean it that way, because I school from my family home, immediately I got home my mom was hitting my younger sis with stick ,as I was entering inside the room that was I was slapped and I started receiving my own beating for just telling mom the beating is too much she got angry and I ended up with bruises joined with the rape I experienced that same evening, I saw it that God punished me for loosing my virginity that night... I became scared of relationships and sex..

Even when I faced wicked lecturers who wanted sex by all means I was failed for disobeying them, one said what is the big deal with me sleeping with him,if I'm better than other girls? Till my final year I failed their courses but when I wrote for others the passed theirs..I ended up with third class. While in school my mom's business loosed the booming frequency so I paid my school fees with working during the holidays in Lagos and luckily too my school is a federal school so there is library to read, no pressure to buy text books and you can pay your school fees before leaving the institution that was my saving grace.. I paid before going for service.

During those months we were waiting to serve a suitor came for my hand in marriage, I just wanted to rest from struggling to take of everyone in my house, so when the suitor  came I accepted it, he did introduction ,  honestly having sex then was a struggle for me, I do not know what it entailed, I  have read of ovulation but I don't when a woman can or cannot be pregnant. I started sleeping with my fiancee then, I missed my period when I told him he was laughing and said before nko. Marriage plans were on top gear then, even date for wedding has been set... He went back to base to return the next month because I was out from nysc three weeks camp.. So i was going for my ppa in his state of origin..he rented a house for me, that was the last I saw of him till my son turned 4 years.

I almost died giving birth, my rent expired so I had to go back to my village, thank God I didn't run mad then because of abuses from my mother then .. There was a time I packed my luggage with that of my few month old son to leave after I was beaten I didn't even know where I was running or going to that day..I just wanted to end it that day, she ran out to stop me and started begging. When I weaned my son for almost two years that was in 2014, I met one of the women in my village who told me to visit her daughter who stays in abuja that she can help me look for something to do so after  I came to this city to stay with a distant cousin who agree to let me stay under roof, luckily for me .

I visited the woman's  daughter in her office two weeks later I got a job through her, even though the pay was not up to 60k I was happy three months later I got a small safe contain paid 6months, i went home same week to pick my son and we have been living together since then till now,
Even though my plan to marry  as a virgin didn't work out, I thank God for every step of the way, He didn't leave my hand when I needed Him, He was ,Still is with I and my son.

Even when sometimes the burden is overwhelming I am still eternally grateful for not being where I used to be before, when I got pregnant and the marriage didn't work out again , I was mocked  greatly by the same families and villagers but I picked up and continued trusting God  knowing that only the living has hope.

Nothing beats the love I have for my son and I cannot trade my son for anything else. and i do not blame even his father for anything because without him I won't have this bundle of love. And come May this year my son will be 6years
I am not in any relationship for now,
Even though I could pass for a beautiful lady.lol
Even the darkest clouds have some silver linings if only we look closely.. Thanks Stella

*she is just 27 years old and ready for a relationship that will be Marriage bound..please in box me if you are interested in starting something with her.Thank you.

TEEJAYS CORNER
...ABOUT LAST NIGHT

I've never been terrified in life before like I was last night.....

I had a dream, a very bad one and I woke up in the middle of the night with tears in my eyes and an aching head. I've always  imagined and asked, how dead people felt when they died? If they actually knew they were dead.....

Last night in my sleep I saw myself with my family discussing but to my greatest  surprise, none was listening or responding to me. I started calling my younger sister repeatedly but she wasn't answering me, I tried touching things but I  couldn't touch anything touchable.

I started crying and saying to myself in that dream, so this means I am dead? My voice became faint and my movement was also at ease. It was clear to me in that dream that I was dead and I started crying and struggling to rise up.

With that struggle, I opened my eyes forcefully into reality. You can imagine the joy I felt that moment knowing it wasn't real, but immediately I started feeling feverish and headache up to this point I am writing this.

It was a horrible experience I must said, I appreciate life now more than I used to before last night. You have to see how I prayed the moment I got up from that dream.

I think and believe the Lord is saying to me to be thankful for the life I still have in me, that the worries and struggles I often talked about are nothing to be compared when life isn't there anymore. It is a sober reflection for me to be at peace with life at all times.

BV TEEJAY.

    5. First Lady...not like we're not happy for her but this is her 3rd engagement blues. The last one was sometime in October, she accepted "the ring" wearing a creamy skimpy top and a blue denim jeans (Yes, I know so) in the presence of 3 others. Pictoral evidence is for life. She flaunted the ring for some months and switched it with the finger rosary when errrm????? ....
Let her compromise and get it going. No time for nonsense.

Happy heart...And No. Big Sam didn't propose to her.

    12. @slimqueen Ah! I sincerely apologize. My message to you was not meant to hurt your feelings. Please I'm not that type of person oooh, I'm not proud or condescending. I've seen too much in life to be that way. However, I made up my mind to reduce communication with BVs on this blog, for very personal reasons. Not because I don't want anyone to beg me, cos as you see me so I still dey beg people too. Who I be?

Yes, the response I gave probably wasn't what you were expecting; but let's be honest I wasn't rude. I explained my reasons and said 'Thank you and No vex'. Maybe the tone in which you read it, based on how you've perceived me to be, or the negative effect of written communication not being delivered as intended, is why you're feeling that way. But note that if I had ignored the request, because I didn't want to say anything, you might still say I'm rude.

Sorry again, if you didn't like my response. Please don't be angry. And i advice you to ignore that anon. The same anon goes under my comments to insult me. He/she (most likely a she) just wants you to feel the way you're feeling and it's not very necessary. Please don't be angry. I apologize again.

  24. In as much as I empathize with the lady LOOKING FOR LOVE and
thank God that she persevered. I have just one question and
a few pieces of advice to others:
Poster, what happened to the child when you "got pregnant the
second time and marriage didn't work out??"
    Please my fellow ladies, there are things that are preventable;
Most men are scared of marriage but love sex more than food. Even
when the "wedding date has been fixed and cards out . ..", please
    do not give in to the pressure to have sex; not even with condoms;
the story can change the moment you announce preg***, once they hear that word
preg*****, they can take off or suggest abortions etc.
Do not throw your peals to pig because they can trample them underfoot and
    turn around and tear you.

    2. Madam anonymous, where did you read that she got pregnant twice?

She got raped the first time but later got engaged and wedding plans were going on before she got pregnant

And yes! You are right about when men hear you are pregnant, they take off. Only the mature ones stand up to their responsibility.

    4. "when I got pregnant and the marriage didn't work out again , I was mocked greatly by the same families and villagers but I picked up and continued trusting God knowing that only the living has hope."

The word here is "AGAIN". "WHEN I GOT PREGNANT AND THE MARRIAGE DIDN'T WORK OUT AGAIN . . ."
Please if there is confusion, this lady poster did not dispel it at all. I understood it the same way as the anonymous wrote. So Sharon, Stainless and Md, sheath your swords. If that word "AGAIN" was not there in the last few paragraph, it would have been a reference to the same experience. This is reading and comprehension 101.

    3. 'you wanted to advice...' advicer nowamagbe. If th person is selling this 'family possession' then OBVIOUSLY it's because th person needs money.
The same people who are always quick to advise won't let people 'privately speak' to them about their needs.

  37. EMBITTERED....

From dusk to dawn, your thoughts engulf me.
This spell so powerful, it deadens my spirit.
Now you're the song I sing, what have you done to me
Every step I take out of the door leaves me in the mercy of my shaky feet.

Reminiscing over the proposals I have had,my jaw drops in wonderment
How the hell did I do it, turning each one of them down.
They were walking perfections, perfections because I saw little or no flaw in them
Yet I watched them walk away in disappointment, oh I watched with eyes looking down.

I was beginning to see the light even before the end of the tunnel
A light I have always fantasized about, then you gave me a shocker and set my head spinning like a rolling funnel.

You made me a dreamer, worse of all,a seer.
What else can one make out of a girl who sees her unborn kids in you.
To err is human, to forgive, divine; but until then ,my heart remains heavier.
Bring back the lost times, bring back those walking perfections, then and just then will I let go of your merciless stab, cos it sure hurts really bad.
