I have this online friend (Mr A) who I'm yet to meet. But he has always been a very good friend, so very matured and a great listener. Sometime this year he pleaded I loan him 30k, with a repayment promise. I assured him I'd loan it to him. But when I ask what he want it for, he gave me a reason that didn't go down. So I ignored him for a while.

I have this online friend (Mr A) who I'm yet to meet. But he has always been a very good friend, so very matured and a great listener. Sometime this year he pleaded I loan him 30k, with a repayment promise. I assured him I'd loan it to him. But when I ask what he want it for, he gave me a reason that didn't go down. So I ignored him for a while.
My cousin was in town for a seminar and stopped by to take me lunch and we got taking. While I was about transferring some files from his phone, I saw the only picture I have of my online friend. I was prompted to ask him questions. Only to discover that Mr A, is his fiancée's best friend. Who lost his only daughter around the same period he asked me for money. I know about his daughter. We talk about her most times.
The story was that he didn't have money for his daughters drugs. And that they were annoyed that he didn't ask anyone to help him out. Because he hasn't been himself since scammers wiped his account after stealing his phone.
Stella, I was broken. I knew he is an introvert, so I understand him not being so open. But he reached out to me and I waved him away. I didn't know about him being scammed but told me his phone was stolen. Nor did he tell that his daughter was sick. I just haven't being able to forgive myself since this afternoon. Sent him mails (7) already but he's yet to reply any. Can't call cause he hasn't replaced his phone.
Please how do, go about resolving this. I am devastated. I just don't know what to do. I couldn't confide in my cousin that I knew him nor that he reached out to me but I turned him down. I couldn't....
Oh dear!...I dont know what to say but you could tell him that you had your doubts cos of online scam and all....its not your fault,so dont go blaming yourself.
Reach out to him and give him all shoulder you can....

I had to stay on bed rest to actually keep this baby after bleeding on the third month due to low laying placenta. This is my second daughter. Prior to this the least we had s§x during a week was 3 times, that is we could virtually have s§x everyday, sometimes twice. I am most certainly not the problem, I do not own a single wrapper in my cupboard, and I have almost lost all weight I put on through dieting and cardio work out.
I have actually thought until now I and my husband were so in love with each other but, If he couldn't see the plight I was into desperately trying to have a baby and he couldn't show his support then I think he does not deserve my love.
Am grateful for your all your advise, and I have made up my mind not to confront him until I have all the facts so it wouldn't look like I don't know what I am saying.

My phone was ringing around 3am and i was wondering who it was but kept cutting the call,I dont take calls that late...
After cutting it like five times i got an SMS asking me not to post a mail that the BV had earlier sent for me to post inside todays in house news addressing that lady from Sunday Anon night post who was waiting for her friend to die so she could marry her hubby..

She has apologised for the time she tried to call but i am still left wondering what happened and how the unknown bv could have attacked her....

I want to know if I'm doing the right thing. I had a lil argument with my bf of 21 months last night. We agreed on him getting his own apartment by June/July before I introduce him formally to my dad by August and do intro before Xmas. (All was his idea o).Guy man lives with his parents and I've been there once. His immediate elder and younger bros have already moved out. He has three lines of businesses; two of which is around his parent's house. He also works as a salary earner. In order not to be far from his business sites, we agreed on getting a house that won't be too far from his parents house.
ReplyDeleteWe live in different cities and we rotate our visitations. Then, he will lodge an hotel for the duration of visit( all with his money). I already made my stand that we wont go to any hotel again and that we should use that money to rent our apartment. The ish is that he told me last week that he wants to save more and shift getting the apartment to Sept/ Oct. I flared up last night & told him that its like he's getting comfortable in his parent's house. I also included that I will call the relationship off if he doesn't make a move by July.
He's supposed to use part of the profit from one of his businesses to get the apartment and furnish it but he told me that he wants to reinvest the profit so that he will have up to 1 million in the next 6 months. I'm of the opinion of using part of ones profit to do something tangible instead of reinvesting at the expense of one's comfort. I am finding it difficult to believe him just because he's man. Men, sometimes don't keep to their words. He has agreed to get the house by July when he called me this morning and he already begged me not to leave him. But, he said that we both will make sacrifices of not seeing eachother till he get and furnish the apartment (probabily August), and i said I'm okay with it.
Then, I heard his smiles over the phone. I never even expected him to talk to me this morning because I really "vexed" for him last night. I hope I'm not pushing him too much. Should I agree with him to use the profit to re-invest or I should stick to my cards of getting something done about him getting the apartment? Are there better ways of handling this situation knowing that he is always doing things to make me happy.

DeleteUnderstanding is key, not only to a relationship but to marriage. Please keep your flare ups to the barest minimum. Even if you don't agree with him, reason it out. I chose to advice you because I and my husband left our parents houses the week we married. There's nothing wrong with him staying with his parents and saving the money for rent for now till your marriage is closer. Let him reinvest. Both of you make sacrifices, rent the house in August, everything will be OK. He's a good man, always ask him why he made his decision before getting angry.
