DeleteI was telling my mum how easy it usually is for people with better finances to oppress those who are poor(by taking what is rightfully theirs) without any consequences even after they pray.
ReplyDeleteMy mum just laughed and told me its not always the case. She cited so many cases were the oppressor was punished immediately. However the one that caught my attention was that of a man from her village.
So a certain man who had just girls asked one of his daughters to stay back and give birth for him( its a normal practice in her place). The daughter accepted and not long after, she gave birth to a boy.
Her father fell sick but before he died, he asked his younger brother to be sort of a caretaker to the young boy/ his inheritance. Uncle saw it as an avenue to show himself cos his own son was wealthy. He took the young boy's land and gave to his son to build on.
The son built an edifice. Oya park into the house na, that's were the problem started. On the day of house opening, every part of the house was filled with fresh human poop. Party scattered because of the smell. The house was cleaned and locked. The next morning another batch of fresh poop was waiting for them when the opened the door.
They have done all sort of deliverance on that house but every time they open the place, they'll always see poop scattered everywhere. They've tried to demolish the house but no one wants to touch the house before spirits will relocate to their houses and use it for toilet.
I couldn't stop laughing as my mum was gisting me. I wish it was always like this with greedy and wicked people who betray people for fickle gain.

I read the chronicles of yesterday, about the man that his wife cheated on with her ex.
My dear poster, it wasn't flesh and blood that revealed your wife sexcapade to you but the Holy Spirit. I believe you have been faithful to your wife and that was why you had that revelation. The revelations came because God wanted you to know that your boat was sinking and that you needed to fix the hole to help stop the leaking and save your boat.
I have never have to deal with a cheating spouse before, so, I don't really know how it feels like. Don't allow this to break your home (and don't mind those accusing you blindly by comparing you with their cheating spouse or other men who cheats)I will advice you both visit a professional counsellor who specialises in this field. You know, I used to think cheating or domestic violence were the only issues that breaks marriages but I was wrong! Cheating in some cases can even save some people's marriages, (I'm not advising nor do i support cheating of any kind. I support 100% faithfulness to ones spouse ) it can open ones eyes and understanding as to what one is doing or failing to do.
During the period of therapy, don't forget to always ask God to grant you the grace to fully forgive your wife. Telling you to forget means that you will have Loss your memory (which is not possible ). But if your forgiveness comes from God, you will never have to remember what your wife did. You married a good woman too, don't forget that.
My dear, try and save your home. It's worth more than a divorce. I pray that God grant both you and your wife the grace, strength and wisdom to fight and conquer in this difficult time.

She has never bath herself up until now.

DeleteYou can teach her and watch her while she does it. Occasionally,allow her to brush her teeth too. My 5year old daughter brush her teeth and sometimes have her bath by herself. I just stand there to point out where she missed.

Teach her how to wash her vjay by herself. You only get to wash it occasionally. Start teaching her how to take her bath too. Teach her many things. She is no longer a baby, you will soon have another baby, so you will be bathing both baby and 8yr old? Cleaning poop for both baby and the elder one too?
DeleteMy little girl who is not up to your girl's age washes hers. I taught her. Any day I try to wash it, she will not even allow me but I do it once in a while. I have started teaching her how to bath and brush her teeth too. I teach her many things including kitchen things. She sweeps the floor, does the dishes, washes her undies and socks, etc even though I do them again by myself but she will get there soon.

DeleteGolden morn. There is one fine one that they just started making. It's called golden morn puffs. It comes in little balls and contains soya beans, maize and millet. Very delicious with plenty nutrients just add milk to it but it's more expensive than the normal one.

Give them semo made into a thick paste like pap, but it would be cooked on the fire o. Add milk or soya beans to it. I'm tired of typing. Visit Google for more. ReplyDeleteSo yesterday my mother's continous words came to pass. She keeps yelling "Onu gi ga araputa gi one day". My mouth almost got me killed-literally. My yoruba friend's Aunt passed away on Monday. Yesterday she asked me and two other girls to accompany her, she said she doesn't know how to comfort a bereaved person(me sef no know how to dey say sorry.)
P.S yall know how the yorubas use "Eku" when greeting? Like Eku joko, eku alejo, eku jo meta etc.
When we got to her late aunt's place, condolences was just pouring from every body's mouth. My friend was already consoling her cousins. I took a cue from her, I then went to meet one of her relative (A guy wey no get joy for him body). First thing I said was "ejoor shey mo le joko bi banyi" (please may I sit here?) P.S pardon my spelling abeg. After I sat down, next thing I said was "Eku Ikun o". Oh my good lord! See the eye wey this guy give me ehn na there I no say I don mis yarn. Oga begin para, he was saying who the hell am I and what am I doing in his aunt's house. Na so people gather for our matter, some follow am bash me. Mentally I was already waiting for a slap, fortunately my friend came to my rescue telling them I be "omo ibo". It took a while before everybody calmed down. That was how my mouth almost put me for trouble. I am thankful for being alive today mehn..
On the bright side, I now know the real meaning of "Eku".

ReplyDeleteGet charcoal. Grind it into powder form. Keep in a small jar you can reach whenever you're brushing. At night, dip your brush into it and brush for at least 2 minutes (I have a separate brush for this). Keep your tongue at the top of your mouth and keep your teeth locked. That way, you don't swallow the charcoal while you brush. Rinse well with water. I hear activated charcoal is better than ordinary charcoal, for this. So you might wanna try that too (can be gotten online). In the day time, you can also dip your brush in after you put toothpaste and use to brush. But I prefer the night time routine cos I don't have to bring out my tongue and mistakenly swallow bits of it. Capisce?
You can also do baking soda and lemon juice paste. Try to dry out all the saliva from your mouth before putting this on for at least one minute (cos lemon is very acidic, you know), and brushing. This is just for whitening. Doesn't remove plaques or major teeth issues. Cos some teeth are just really horrible 🙄
Truth is alot of this information is available online. But if you're not curious you won't find out. Let's use the internet for the right purposes. Instead of calling the people who do 'oversabi' 😋 lol. Have a nice day!

Yes oh. I use charcoal cos I have sensitive teeth and the acidity from lemon just does me somehow. However, he baking soda lemon paste is meant to be used once a week, not everyday like charcoal
DeleteActivated charcoal is very ok, whitenened my teeth recently and I have been using it since then, can be found on Amazon, eBay and co. and brush your teeth with your fluoride toothpaste afterwards. Baking soda and lemon is good as well but cannot be used for a long because it erodes the tooth enamel and causes sensitivity to the teeth and gums.

DeleteI think the society and religion indoctrinated this practice in our minds. They frown mostly when a woman is involved/exposed in infidelity. Take the example of the woman in the Bible that was brought to Jesus, nothing was heard of the man she committed the act with. This problem if you ask me stems from the paying off bride price. If I purchase something with my money, I have the right and can be Lord over that which I purchased, like they say,he who pays the piper dictates the tune. If this idea of bride price and men paying some dues before taking a bride is abolished, believe me man and woman will be equal and have equal privileges in marriage. But as long as it remains, men will continue to feel like demi gods in their family. So a man can cheat and even marry another wife because he can fulfill the traditional rites but a woman can't because she can't literally marry a man or pay groom price.
