ReplyDeleteWhat kind of dirtiness is that, abeg carry your spilling comot here
DeleteAnonymous bug
Am not a stew person. But Sunday rice is a must. Today was jollof and chicken with salad. Church closed on time so i had time to cook.
DeleteSpill. Nothing new under the sun except you are a liar
DeleteYes oo waiting for jollof rice to done well.
DeleteWe are blessed
My son loves jollof rice "red rice" and he would ask on our way home from Church on Sundays if we are having Nigeria red rice and not fried rice, lol
DeleteWe had Jollof rice today. Proudly Nigerian
I've said it times without number here that in my house, it's a crime to cook rice on Sunday. They cook rice from Monday through Friday for the school children, definitely, we're eating something different on weekends.
ReplyDeleteThis morning, we ate bread and beans
*Larry was here*
I can eat rice from Monday to Sunday, back to back
DeleteAnonymous bug

Any Sunday that I did not cook rice.hubby will say he has not eating no matter what I give him to eat
DeleteIt's tradition in my house oh. Although I've really not been eating rice this year. The few times I have its brown rice. I've done it till March. So help me God.
ReplyDeleteRice on Sunday is tradition that has come to stay.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was young we only eat rice on Sunday but today I'm married no matter how many times I cook rice within d week, will definitely cook it on Sunday. Sunday rice has a special taste from other rice cooked on other days.guess it comes it d feeling that comes from being in d presence of God(church).
Yes
DeleteI can eat rice from January to December without being tired, and Sunday rice is a sure thing for me. If they didn't cook Sunday rice at home ,I will definitely go to an eatery to eat rice or to a friends place am sure they will cook Sunday rice.
DeleteIt wasn't really a tradition growing in my house sha.
ReplyDeleteEven now sef, na free style. Cos my hubby is not really a rice person. We can have eba with correct ogbono soup in sunday.
Sometimes I cook a different dish, today I made porridge beans with iced fish with enough pepper.
ReplyDeleteNo matter the amount of fish and meat you put inside beans, it will still break my heart. I just don't like that food. Maybe that's the reason I am as short as small stout bottle
DeleteI used to be like dat o but now oomoh! Try with ewa agonyin proper one o. One i will never eat is the regular beans with pepper etc and beans thats not broken or marshed i hate .
DeleteI prefer spagetti to rice we dont eat rice on sunday.where can i buy correct Ofada rice in Ibadan
ReplyDeleteTemmytosin Ajetomobi
Send your address lemme waybill it for you 😂
DeleteI hate spag
DeleteIt's a tradition for when I was a kid and now am passing it to my kids and they keep asking me why I always cook rice on sundays? Be it rice and stew, hollow or fried, it just has to be rice on Sunday afternoon. Lol
ReplyDeleteSunday rice is entrenched in our constitution nah,its a way of life.I don't follow it religiously anymore though
ReplyDeleteI can eat rice from Jan to December and back to back again.
ReplyDeleteSo, why will I cook something else on a Sunday that's is official rice day?. No na. If my hubby or kids want another dish. I make it, only affter my rice is ready oo. I no fit shout
Ate boiled yam and some badass fish sauce hubby made...the kids ate their usual Sunday rice as enshrined in the NIGERIAN constitution
ReplyDeleteLol Sunday rice is truly a tradition presently eating rice and stew now.
ReplyDeleteVery big tradition, Rice and Stew or Sauce or Pepper soup for lunch on Sunday afternoon. One time, my mum wanted to switch it up, swallow for lunch and then the rice in the night. Hian ooo!! No be small war wan break out for house that period. She had to go back to status quo with immediately. Inukwa!!
ReplyDeleteMe I just finished downloading rice and ofe-akwu as in Palm Sunday things🤗🤗.
Ndewo nu!
It is a tradition in my house, presently eating rice and stew and Chilled malt
ReplyDeleteStella Kork...not in all homes o. Depends on the weather. The rains came down early this morning in the mainland. I had to boil the condiments for Ofe Nsala (powdery roasted efuru, uziza, uda seeds) along with plenty of panla and mangala dry fishes. Left Fresh catfish put of deep freezer to thaw before leaving for Sunday service. It is very easy and fast. I need to keep the kiddies warm after church. I changed menu sharpaly.
ReplyDeleteThen after service, I added fried turkey sticks, boiled them over and added sliced utazi and fresh yellow and red pepper. Mixed a little ground yam flower to thicken it. And made sparkling shiny Tuwo-Shinkafa (sorry we no dey chop Semo and Samvita).
Some Sundays, we eat úkwa ahô with fried potatoes and sauce by the side.
Or Russet and sweet potato porridge.
Sometimes it is Ji + akídì + vegetable + úgba with plenty oven fired meat or fishes.
Must not be RICE. People should diversify.
Talk too much. Tueh!
DeleteMDee you decided to reply with this ID.
DeleteE pain am!
Hahahaha.
Ofe nsala is bae.
Never a tradition in my house. We eat something else on weekends.
ReplyDeleteI'm not even a rice person sef so
ReplyDeleteI never elevate any day so that I must eat special according to the day. I eat what I desire at that time. So if I feel like a sardine sandwich for dinner o Sunday that is what I will eat. Obviously, married women may have to cook special meals for their family.
ReplyDeleteI remember growing up we would cook rice with the biggest pot on Sunday so it can last till Monday morning and then the mountain building nko? Lol. God has delivered everybody from food in my house especially rice. I still eat rice but I'm mindful of my portions. I still make sure to cook rice but not everybody eats. They make whatever they feel like eating. Another thing I've gone back to is local rice. I pick it myself even when there's foreign rice. Then you will hear my brother shouting I want to kill someone when he eats stone. 😂😂😂
ReplyDeleteRemember my childhood if I don't eat Sunday rice no peace in the house cos Sunday will not end till I eat rice. Expecially rice and stew
