Released Dapchi Schoolgirls Reportedly Gifted N5,000 Each By President Buhari

Hajara Adamu, one of Released school girl while speaking to UK Guardian recalled upon their return, that they met with President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential villa, Abuja, before reuniting with their families in Yobe.





Adamu recalled that the president gave them N5,000 each, among other items.


She said; “They gave us drinks and food and chicken. Afterwards they took us out and we took a picture with the president. The president gave us gifts of two wrappers, a pair of shoes, and N5,000 each.”
Suspected Boko Haram insurgents on February 19th abducted 110 students of Dapchi School Yobe and released them a month later, with the exception of Sharibu and five students who died in captivity. They reportedly refused to release Leah Sharibu for refusing to renounce her Christian faith.
