Militant Group Allegedly Returns Dapchi Kidnapped School Girls Except One

Nigerian Islamist militant group, Boko Haram today returned 105 girls kidnapped from a high school compound in Dapchi a few weeks ago.

According to Saharareporters the militant group came with the girls in 9 vehicles same way they took them away.

There was confusion in the area as members of the community scampered into the bush as the terror group appeared in the area, first dropping off one the girls in a nearby village and then driving into the center of Dapchi town to drop off the rest of the girls. It is not clear if the Nigerian government paid any ransom to get the girls released.

Five of the girls are dead according to a source, and Liah Sharibu, the only Christian amongst high school girls kidnapped at Dapchi in Yobe remains in Boko Haram custody.

  5. How can people move with 105girls and not be noticed. Which kind of car or jazz will make over 100 people move around and people will not know who the people moving them are. This is what taya me for this matter. From the kidnapping to their return.

  9. The boldness, smh!
There must have been some sort of agreement/negotiation. Are there no checkpoints from wherever they must have driven from (in nine vehicles with over a hundred passengers, majority young girls)?

I am glad that they've been returned, they should release the remaining girl abeg. Oh! They want to indoctrinate her proper.
RIP to the ones that died, hope their families find comfort.
This whole scenario is just sad, they shouldn't have been abducted in the first place.
    God help us!
