Hmmmm......
The IGP said President Buhari’s permission was needed for him to effect withdrawal of police personnel. The police boss also revealed that the withdrawal of personnel would be nationwide.
Idris spoke during a meeting he held with Squadron, Counter Terrorism Unit, CTU, Special Protection Unit, SPU and Commanders at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
He said, “We are trying to seek the permission of the Commander in Chief before we conduct this withdrawal because it is going to be a massive withdrawal all over the country. Of course you know the sentiment of people, whenever you take such actions, there would be lots of complaints. So, we are going to do it in a sound footing to make sure that once we withdraw people, they are not taken back.

ReplyDeleteMumu IG. Working without THINKING
ReplyDeleteDidn't he consult with the Commander in Chief before making the public announcement? I mean, why would he make the public announcement without getting the permission of the President? What then happens if the power that be wants to maintain the status quo? Anything just to score a cheap point.
ReplyDeleteAs in eh! I wonder what this man is doing there with his incompetence and backyard insubodination ( for want of a better word) to the president.
DeleteThat is ehh! This country is a joke!

This country has issues. Why the IGP is heere still debating withdrawal of police from VIPs Politicians and public office holders to whom this circular is primarily directed to the Police officers in the Micro Finance Bank where I work were withdrawn this morning based on orders from above as per this directive. How in any way can you construe a bank as falling into any of the categories as mentioned above. SMH...
