Dr Yusuf, a former commissioner of health under Senator Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso's administration was arraigned by the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission. The former commissioner was accused for three-count charge of Criminal Breach of Trust, Disobeying Administration direction and Corrupt Practices.
However, when the charge sheet was read to the accused person, he pleaded not guilty to all the three charges levelled against him. In view of the development, his Counsel, Barrister Nuraini Jimoh, applied for his bail on grounds that he had already been on administrative bail.
In her ruling, the presiding Judge, Justice Aisha Rabi'u Danlami granted the accused person bail in the sum of N200,000 and two sureties of like sum. Justice Aisha also adjourned the case till 30th April, 2018 for continuation.
