There seems to be some confusion as to whether deeper life Church is developing the community where it is situated or not.......

If memory serves me right, the over head bridge was to mitigate the traffic in the area following the completion of the gigantic structure by DLBC. But that shouldn't take away the fact the project is a CSR.
ReplyDeleteIf its built because of its own benefit, how is that csr?
DeleteWrong! I used to attend the church and contributed towards this project. Truth is Deeper Life had always had a church at that location in Gbagada. However, sometime in the early 90s, 92 if I remember well, the church commenced work on modernising and enlarging the building. I can remember blue prints of the project that was sent to members via their district locations nationwide from as far back as 97. All these facilities were included in the construction. They have always worked with the Lagos state government and her agencies, there was however a structural change during the Fashola regime that led to a change in the scope of the project. The project took this long because of the nature of it's funding. The church won't task you beyond your means and it's a freewill donation thing. Thankfully its completed now and everyone can see it. There's no need for propaganda or antagonising the church. There would be some traffic yes, but wouldn't it have been worse if there wasn't the bridge? The church has done it's bit for the community let's appreciate it. If the LGA covering that axis had done a bit of that we won't be here.
