STAND ALONE NARRATIVE
WRONG DIAGNOSIS
This is the lady with the spotting. Like I said that day, I resolved to go to the hospital the next day. "unfortunately ", I started bleeding a little at night, I was devastated and so was my hubby. We drove to the hospital and after paying the emergency fee of 10000(only God knew what that was), we saw the doctor, though the bleeding have stopped by then. After scanning, he said my baby no longer have a promising fetal breath. They will admit me and by the next day he will check again.
I cried all through the night, praying and crying at the same time.
The next day, he checked again and told me my baby is not breathing. They will discharge me and by Wednesday that is today I should come for evacuation. They gave me two injections and one drug tablet. The bills were outrageous but I could care less, all I wanted was the safety of my child.I called my mom and she said I shouldn't touch that baby, that she saw me deliver in her dream. I was confused.Sunday came and I clutched to my rosary beads, I prayed and prayed.
On Monday I decided to use a well known lab around the area to be sure. I wasn't also confident with the machine the doctor used.On getting there, the woman in charge scanned me after I told her my ordeal. She was furious when she heard evacuation, saying that she had a case like that not long ago. Immediately the Doppler got to my stomach, I started seeing my baby moving although not that active, I could even see it breathing. I burst into tears, I couldn't contain my joy.
The woman said the spotting would stop that there is a water-like something under my uterus that it will stop. I should be on bed rest.
My mom was so furious about the doctor, my hubby wanted to even go and confront him. I wanted to go back there today to give him a chance to clear his name, let me see if this was a miracle or he wanted to try the "demons " in me. My mum wouldn't hear of it. Everyone I told said I shouldn't near that hospital again. Now I need a hospital I would go and they can have a thorough check out on me and know if that thing is something to worry about.
I have never been so confused in my life. Being a first time mum is the most difficult time for a woman. You hear all different types of advice not knowing the one to take, yet you know that any decision you make can make or mar you. My mom said I should stay put for now and be on bed rest. Everyone is saying the same but I don't know...
Please I want to hear from moms in the house too, please if you stay around Festac Lagos, you can also recommend a good hospital for me, I am new to the area .Funny enough the one I went is termed one of the best private hospital around.
Sorry for the long epistle please I am just an expectant mum who wants the best for her child. My baby is nine weeks(two months and a week).
Thank you Stella and bvs.
*I couldnt breathe reading this, was too upset..like WTF!
God be with you, fellow preggo. No need to go back to that hospital and fight, God has already fought for you. Please stay on bedrest and take care of yourself. After delivery, you can write to the medical board with your complaint and all evidence such as your receipts, pictures of the evacuation pills and everything else that can prove your case.
ReplyDeletePls they should confront them even if it means calling them out its people lives we are talking about this could have led to depression or HB this leave them to God attitude isn't help
DeleteHow far long are you? If your baby has formed well then you should be on bed rest, your leg should be elevated, it's like your cervic is open and if you keeping doing much it may bleed out with the water in your womb, just be on bed rest.
DeleteGod would save us from all these ritualistic called doctors o, you will carry your baby my dear hold on to God, keep saying your rosery too, God would finish what he has started
This is similar to Adanna Ohakims pregnancy story. You can watch her vlog on that to be encouraged. She was actually pregnant with twins and didnt know. Went to one of the best gynea's when she was in nigeria and was told she had lost the baby. And needed to do an evacuation or allow the miscarriage to progress naturally. She lost one baby but has a healthy one on the way with lots of bed rest. You will be just fine.
DeleteWhy are we always like this? If she didn't make trouble with the hospital how then will other preggo's life be saved from the hands of that quack doctor. The one that nearly killed my wife i made sure that he and the nurses that handled that delivery where all sacked. Avoidable mistakes and they were pleading with me to accept a N2million damage payment. I refused accepting such cos i was grateful to God for saving her from the hands of those killer but the only way they could settle me is to sack those guys.
DeleteI pray the injection and tablet he gave won't affect the baby after delivery. May the Lord be with you.
ReplyDeleteI thought so too. Please is it possible to send your husband to find out exactly what they injected into you and what you swallowed. During pregnancy, NEVER EVER take any drug of injection without a second opinion and even Google. The first 12 weeks of pregnancy is not a time to accept treatments you didn't cross check.
DeleteI had bleeding too during my first trimester and with plenty bed rest, it stopped and we are ok. Try not to get out of bed except to use the toilet. What you need now is BED REST not another hospital or doctor.
If you can stay in bed for about 1month then you can start talking of going to another hospital. Trust me, just getting out of bed can trigger another bleeding. I was walking on egg shells the whole time I was on bed rest. Any attempt to carry my toddler to move a little brought back the bleeding. Please send your husband to find out exactly what that doctor gave you. Run it by another doctor and take it up from there.
Good luck. You will be fine
You have a good, well equipped general hospital in festac na. It's at the gate, you better go and register there.
DeletePoster pls just go to mother and child at first gate. It's government owned but they have qualified doctors, or you try golden cross. They are also good.
DeletePls dnt try golden cross ooo... They killed my ist baby... I mean killee yes.. Emel is the best private hospital... Maternal amd child is a good govt hosptal
DeleteWhen it comes to Obstetrics matter, I would rather say be ‘Doctor specific ‘ instead of hospital as a whole.
DeleteEven in teaching hospitals, people who work there will ‘choose’ their consultant. Why? Because it’s based on specialty and experience
Poster, from what you are saying and the age of your pregnancy, the doctor probably thought it’s blighted ovum based on the technical result from the scan. Here comes experience, an experienced Ob/Gyn will say ‘REPEAT SCAN IN TWO WEEKS’ while giving you bed rest.
Foetal heartbeat is tricky to read when it is below 12 weeks and pregnancies are prone to spontaneous abortions within that time frame.
This happened to me when I had my first pregnancy. Doc said it wasn’t viable, we should abort. But hubby being a medical doctor himself said we should wait two weeks and repeat. Though we went 3 days later to another place with a more experienced radiologist, heartbeat was Seen but very faint. We repeated another week .and hen another before it was confirmed viable.
These things happen. Early pregnancy can be unpredictable. Not really doctors fault at this stage. The only part I blame him is he should have called for a repeat scan for confirmation!
Phew!! What an epistle!!
Wow, I used golden cross for all my three pregnancies and i can say they are good but fucking expensive, i alwags insist on dr ernest no other Dr touches me, fot general cases Dr okonkwo he has left now but i still use his private hospital, all these new dr in golden cross are children no experience I don't see themt pls pray your baby is fine, for now pls use Dr nwadiani 322 old hand knows his onions
DeletePrivate hospitals are the worst, you just opened an old wound for me. Lost my sister and her baby to negligence of private hospital she was using.
ReplyDeleteI'd ask that you find a general hospital or specialist. Most private hospitals employ doctors who aren't really qualified or experienced.
Happy for you that things didn't go left before it was averted. You can try Emel hospital, on 21 road or go to Navy town hospital biko. All the best.
Thing is general hospitals would take your time because of crowd and all that but they have better doctors.
Emel is a glorified government hospital. Poor hospitality
DeleteEyaaah,sorry about your lost.
Deletehospitals in Nigeria especially private hospitals are useless. This is how they murdered my father with treatments that were not for what he was suffering from. I regretted taking my dad to the hospital that day. I keep playing the whole scenario in my head. I nearly strangled that doctor. smh. Daddy, continue to rest in peace. The grief is just too much for me.
DeleteR-Jolad Hospital Gbagada almost killed my dad. Thank God I had the foresight to transfer him to LUTH. They will keep giving you drip and charging you, even when its obvious the patient is not responding to their treatment.
DeleteEmel is a very good private hospital.. They have specialist
DeleteAnonymous 18:36 your case and mine is why a patient should choose a hospital cos u KNOW the physician that will attend to u,been using R-Jolad for 4years,I birth my 2kids there WHILE my 1st baby was KILLED in LUTH while I was 24weeks preggies!I went in for spotting and was induced wtot I or Hubby's consent,iv told the story here once or twice so I don't want to go into it again!
DeletePlease y'all should go to a hospital because you know the Dr/gynea from recommendations not the hospital as a building,Iv used a single gynea in jolad all d while,we could breeze in for malaria for the kids but if its pregnancy, that DR or no one!!!
Go to a government hospital. Qualified doctor would make a proper diagnosis..
ReplyDeleteYou shall carry to full term .
Have faith.
Official prestige
That is what most private hospitals do,anything to milk money out of u...
ReplyDeleteTankGod for ur child but u need to rest first for the safety of ur child... Make sure u confront the Doctor after u have delivered ur baby..
Takia
It is well with you. I am sure you are the same lady that asked for good hospitals around festac. God will put everything in place for you since you believed what God said about you and not what the doctor say.
ReplyDeleteDo not get angry with anybody including the doctor. Just dont fight and keep praying to God to keep your baby till you give birth.
Good hospitals in Festac are much. Am sure some BV will give you the good ones to go with.
Quack doctors everywhere,at my early stage as well,i was spotting blood and d doctor told me its cos the placenta was lying low that it would stop and considering d gap btw my first and dis one, body don change small but to the glory of d Lord, it stopped before d end of my first trimester self,it is well with u and ur child, just make sure u go to a better hospital and lab for proper monitoring
ReplyDeleteIt is well with you...
ReplyDeleteI worked for about a decade in Nigerian hospitals and I always advise folks to go to a government owned teaching hospital. Not because they are up to the standard I know as a doctor but the sharp practices and money grabbing tendencies of the private hospital is well contained there. Also, you have the opportunity of second opinions whenever a case is equivocal or confusing.
ReplyDeleteWhen I worked in a private hospital , I saw the other side of the love of money. Where I was directed by the MD to use a cheap drug that will not cure the patient of an infection e.g. urinary tract infection so that when they inflate the bills, the money will come to them since the patient will buy the drug (still 10x the regular cost) from their "pharmacy". Note that when the uti is not cured, the patient can have complications ranging from kidney failure, to infertility, sepsis/meningitis etc. It put me at variance with them because I will follow my training and prescribe the medications which the test indicates will cure the patients.
I know of women who were cut open in private hospitals for CS when it was simply normal delivery. Of course they will give them injections that will slow the labor.
Should I tell you about the one that used and re-used urinary catheter, syringes, iv canulas, used unsterilized equipment for circumcision and other surgeries etc.
Please folks, government specialist and teaching hospitals may waste your time but it is better, I worked in both.
Origwue???? Na only God hand we dey
DeleteU be criminal too, you worked for a failed unknown hospital,or u think reddingtton, georges, etc, will use unsterilised stuff on patients?,you helped them use used objects on people, helped them fake CS cos of money n ome here to blab!
DeleteMy fear now is the drugs and injection the doctor gave you.if there is a way you can get the name and Google it. It well with the baby in your womb.
Delete@ blackberry , how stupid can one person be? Are you daft ni? I am not the anonymous..Didn't you read where the anon said the sharp practices caused problems between him/her and the md? Common restrict yourelf to sex, dick and pussy gist.
DeleteMust have been a run down dirty private hospital... and yes, you collided to defraud people and risk their lives. Exposing them to all sorts of diseases and infections
DeleteThis last scan you did is biased cos u told them what u are looking for . Please go to another scan center, do a scan, don't tell them your reason. You can't hear a baby breathe, but you should hear d heart beat doing kpum kpum. If u don't hear that heart beat, please dear, go for evacuation make u no kill. yaself. If u do hear it, don't tell them anything, just carry the result and Go and make trouble at that hospital.big trouble like suing unless they refund your emergency and admission fee. Though doctors are humans not machines so, let me just forgive that one on your behalf
ReplyDeleteThe most sensible comment. Government teaching hospitals are just as bad. Doctors will waste your time and divert you to their own practices so you can pay them and it’s usually higher than what you’ll pay at the teaching hospitals. If you’re pregnant, I suggest you do your research and go to the BEST hospital around you. Might cost a lot, but if you had 200 million at your disposal with Complications from carelessness from both you and quack doctors , 200 million may not bring that child back. Now if you’ve gone through these things, you better go to a very good hospital or Mecure for proper tests and imaging to be sure that baby is fine.
DeleteThank you jare. I don’t even see any misdiagnosis here. It is tricky to hear heart rate this early and it does not always show. The doctor just interpreted and read the scan and advices accordingly
DeleteIt’s like Nigerians are always just waiting to crucify doctors and remember all their actual and perceived mistakes!
Poster pls calm down. All the agitation is not good for you. I understand it’s first pregnancy and you’re understandably confused and the people around you are not helping matters.
But no be you carry your two left legs go private hospital, what about government or missions?
ReplyDeleteI no dey go those privates, it is a one man business and magic show!
Most times people think that government teaching hospitals have long queues and waste time.
DeletePlease waste my time and cure me instead of doing it "sharp sharp" and execute me in broad daylight.
See as you for evacuate generations? Abegi after you don deliver make you do thanksgiving to Jesus and/for that ya mama.
my sister I was exactly in ur shoes about 3 years ago. I had lost pregnancies and was in despair. the time I took in, I went to Bonnie Sante in 321 Rd Festac. I was bleeding in my 10th week, but Dr Nwadiane managed me and baby. I was on Progesterone for about 6 weeks. Had to be placed on bed rest till d 15th week qnd thereafter the Pregnancy was a smooth sail till delivery. Try them, he can he expensive and hold on to God's word. you will birth ur joy. All the best and God be with you always.
ReplyDeleteMy sister had her 4kids in that hospital.
DeleteThey're good...321 road, C close
Well, some doctors in the occult do that to keep their hospitals "flourishing", the blood of those babies are the watering for their business.
ReplyDeleteIf your mom does not know Jesus and prays, you would have sacrificed your baby for an evil business outfit. It pays to be in Christ -you mom will not be there always to pray for you, you need Jesus.
That isn't anything new. Someone's kidney was "mistakenly" removed by a doctor in Adamawa state.
ReplyDeleteA doctor once copied certain drugs written by a different doctor for me. The illness aren't related and I have idea because I'm in medical line. Pathetic
Madam, congratulations. You'll birth your baby sound and healthy. I personally prefer teaching hospitals if not because of queues
God save us from incompetent medical personnel.
ReplyDeletePls go to mother and child (MCC)at First gate in Festac.
DeleteI don't even know what to say. The medical field in this country is just a mess.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry for your ordeal dear. That is why it is good to seek 1st, 2nd and 3rd opinion in this country. But then how many people can afford it.
I have been told I have typhoid twice in my HMO work hospital, I would be placed on injections and drugs. It was just becoming too rampant, I decided not to take their drugs and go to my own family hospital. They will also carry out their own test and say nothing is wrong, I just need rest and they give me multi-vitamins. Probably work stress. I will do that and become okay.
I have also been giving a wrong test result before in a supposed good hospital in VI. Thank God my name was called at a point the doctor addressed me. I now said No that isn't me. Whose file and test result was given to you. They had given me an Ngozi's result and that Ngozi was severely anemic and needed to see a specialist. They had even given me drugs for the supposed anemia and I just had malaria.
Madam for now just register in another hospital. But keep all your records, test reports, bills etc. If you can even get smthn written stating they want to do evacuation. Tell them you need the note for work. Add it with your evidence.
After you have delivered and healed, start legal proceedings or better still report them to Lagos state.
You need your rest so the spotting cant stop, don't stress yourself for now. Just compile all evidence ready for later.
I am very sure its either EMEL hospital or ITUAH hospital she went...
ReplyDeleteThese hospitals have lost their credibility long ago with the quacks they have as doctors.
I'm not sure i read the first post. But let me tell you my experience. I have had 3 pregnancies and two live births. In all my pregnancy, i always bleed. More than the supposed spotting some women are suppose to have. With my second, i bled for 3 weeks straight!. Some doctors termed it"threatened abortion" . (Now this is Canada) And some said it was implantation bleeding and it would go away. And yes, it was implantation bleeding just that i bleed more than the medical text book says. It takes experience to know that. My first two kids are normal and healthy but the last one passed unfortunately. So my dear. dont' touch that child. if i were you i'd stay home and visit a good hospital when i am at least 4 months gone. In the meantime, please help yourself with a good pre-natal vitamin with folic acid.
ReplyDeleteI agree. She should wait until she's at least 4 months gone
DeleteImplantation bleeding occurs at the very early stage, most times before it appears positive on the test strip. It's when the fertilised egg has moved from Fallopian and down to the uterus, where it tries to attach itself to the wall of the uterus (implantation).
DeleteNwarieaku
Which injection or tablet did they give u? Hope it's won't harm d baby.
ReplyDeleteI'm scared a about that too.
DeleteThat is my major concern..
DeleteAm happy for you..
ReplyDeleteWishing you safe 9months journey and safe delivery too.
Many quack hospitals and doctors littering every corner in Naija.
God help your own.
Please make sure that baby is sound and won't have complications when she/he is born, cos taking care of special need child is not easy oh, but I heard pregnant women spot na which it not dangerous, since it wasn't much bleeding, I understand your fear mine I had severe bleeding went to hospital and heard I had blighted ovum my World came crumbling cos I knew the good things n news that pregnancy was to bring my way, so please you just said baby breathing was slow.
ReplyDeleteGo to as many hospital as possible
Such hospital should be reported, only God knows how many babies the doctor would 've killed through wrong diagnosis .poster u shall carry ur babyto full term by God's grace
ReplyDeleteI just had twins which was a very high risk pregnancy. My pregnancy was managed by Premier Specialist Hospital in VI. Its expensive but no amount should be too much for one's health. I ll suggest you go there if you can. Its off Adeola Odeku Road. The doctors are really good and they have good equipments
ReplyDeleteWow, thank God for u my dear.
ReplyDeleteDo not go back. Enjoy ur present condition n look forward to d biggest gift ever.
I will advise you to go to a teaching hospital, it is a high risk hospital, Yes there is drama there but pls find the nearest one to you
ReplyDeleteDear poster so sorry for what is happening to you. You can try out golden cross hospital at 22road there services are nice or try the government hospital mother and child (MCC) at first gate in all always use clinic health care for your scan at ago place way the have the best so no equipments may God see you through this time.
ReplyDeleteSince that hospital mentioned coming back for evacuation, they may have given you those injections and tablet to induce or hasten evacuation.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, send someone to find out exactly what was given to you and press for the truth. If possible, find a way your folder from there can be looked at.
Secondly, take this from an experienced mum, bed rest while bleeding is VERY VERY IMPORTANT. Don't joke with it. Observe the bed rest for about a month unless you have any more complications and need to return to a hospital.
After your bed rest, go for another scan at a reputable centre and get yourself to a GENERAL hospital for antenatal. I used one and had to register at a private hospital during my 3rd trimester because someone advised me to. I ran out of there after one visit and returned to the general hospital.
I am sure that the hospital is EMel Hospital.
ReplyDeleteI had my first child in Parklande Hospital successfully via planned CS. Very good clinic. Infact rated 4.5 on a scale of 5.
When i was about to got pregnant for my second child, I registered with Outreach children's hospital as I was informed that Emel and Outreach were the two best hospitals. Their ante-natal services were horrible and I gave myself brain by registering with Emel when I was to put to bed. The experience in Emel was also horrible. Infact, I appealed to the doctor to discharge me after two days, to enable me take proper care of myself at home (Planned CS delivery again). I did not get any attention from the nurses, as they were too preoccupied with so much responsibilities.
It could be that the doctor was so tired that he didnt pay special attention to the baby's breathing.
Let me rephase that I planned to deliver normal with epidural, but EMel did a scan and informed me that it will not be possible as my baby weighed 4kig. When she arrived, she weighed 2.9kg. Was later informed that scan does not give the actual weight.
Please try Parklande hospital and get quality medical services that you deserve.
My 1cent
Why are you still asking on a blog for a good hospital? Take a walk around your area and ask for the nearest general hospital,or go back to the good hospital you used to know- except you relocates from abroad or another state.. but seek a third opinion.
ReplyDeleteI lost a baby at 20weeks due to cervical incompetence..my 2nd pregnancy i registered in two hospitals Kings college and st.thomas...i did not trust the Drs totally thats what a loss can do to you.
At kings the specialist wanted to give me steroid at 22weeks to mature babys lungs that baby might come anytime.
I ran to st.thomas and they just wrote me off work n place me in bed rest and fibronectin test every 2 weeks.till I it to 38weeks with prayers.
All these my story is dont just stay at home and pray waiting for replies..go out there and find a third opinion.
I wish you all the best...we will deliver safely
My dear it is well with you. Pls register in a govt hospital and let them check you thoroughly. My fear is just the drugs and injections you were given. We have quack doctors everywhere.
ReplyDeleteI will advice you to go to a government hospital where you will be attended to by specialist... there's one located at first gate bus stop called MCC AMUWO... I gave birth there and I also know a lot of people that did too.
ReplyDeletemy dear go to maternal and child around first gate in festac
ReplyDeleteCongratulations madam, you need to take a bedrest at least for like a month first, before you can look for a good general Hospital to register. It is well with you and your baby .
ReplyDeleteMy problem is the injection he gave you. I hope it's not what I'm thinking. Be sure to go to a good government hospital abeg.
ReplyDeleteSome pregnant spot and they go on to have normal deliveries. Please women don't be quick to flush your baby when you spot.
ReplyDeleteNormal D-dimer test they do for pregnant women suspected of having blood clot, 98% of Nigeria doctors don't know what it is. My sister have been to different hospitals asking for this test, doctors and nurese there were just staring at her like what the heck is she talking about. I just can't with Naija doctors. My husband is a doctor in Nigeria, he too didn't know it when I mentioned it to him. Thank God he's coming out of that shit hole country. He's coming over here to have a proper medical training, make money and go home and help save lives. I pity sick people in that country. My father's death taught me a big lesson. Those doctors don't know jack. I'm pissed. Even those that claim to be senior cardiologists move around with grey hain on big heads with empty brains.
My friend's husband, a renowned heart surgeon, who normally travels to Nigeria to help carry out heart surgeries, said to me " listen, those doctors commit murders in that country". He was dazed and broken when he saw what those doctors prescribe to their patients......Murder!
No time to proof read. I'm pissed at all medical (murder) schools in that country. The lecturers know nadan, students know nadan. Don't let me start with nurses.
Please it’s not all Nigerian doctors. My mum who was pregnant in her 40s started bleeding when she was in her first trimester, i mean serious bleeding, not clotting. She was rushed to Nigerian hospital where they saved that child, (my brother), she spent her entire pregnancy in the hospital on bed rest and she delivered that healthy baby safely via CS. Royan hospital in Ojodu Berger, Lagos did a great job, and of course God kept her and the baby safe.
DeleteI, on the other hand live in the US and I had a traumatic birth experience in Ben Taub hospital, Houston. If I start recounting what some of the mean nurses put me through and how I had to be rushed in for an emergency C section after being in labor for 36 hours because they infected my amniotic sac and I started shivering like someone in Antarctica, you’ll understand that there are incompetent doctors and nurses in every country.
Poster, please remain in bed rest and elevate your leg, that’s what my mum did for the first few weeks after she started bleeding.
Thank you oh. Me nko that lives in Nigeria and ran abroad to have my baby after sitting abroad for almost 7 months confident i will be going home with my bundle of joy my baby died right under their very noses. too stingy to admit someone on NHS. abeggi.
DeleteWhatever you do: FIND OUT THE DRUG AND INJECTION GIVEN TO YOU. hope you have stopped it too? Please can we always use Google before taking medications?
ReplyDeleteNigerian parents should stop forcing their lids to be either lawyers, doctors or engineers. This is what parental-pressure leads to. All these doctors that misdiagnose patients, and those that will demand payment before treatment (in dire circumstances) ate obviously products of this. There is no passion for the occupation. Even when they fail, they and their parents will bribe their way to making sure they become "doctors"! Please stop!!
ReplyDeleteTo the writer...all the best with your pregnancy. It would be good to find out about the mess injected into you.
Thank you!
DeleteAdmission to study med is not on merit.
They fail MBBS
Repeat
Struggle to graduate
Then come out n misdiagnose n kill.
Let's hope it's not an injection to hasten evacuation.
Thank you!
DeleteAdmission to study med is not on merit.
They fail MBBS

Then come out n misdiagnose n kill.
Let's hope it's not an injection to hasten evacuation.
It is well with you.
ReplyDeleteit may still be there, not so sure, just try
ReplyDeleteI was scared reading this. I pray your baby will be alright. I just hope the injection and drugs won't cause any deformity. God be with you.
ReplyDeleteYou need to take up a case with the hospital NOW.
ReplyDeleteWhat did they inject you with????
God forbid, if your child comes out deformed and you go back to the hospital they will wash their hands off you and even boldly deny seeing you.
You need solid evidence should anything wrong.
Oyibo say prevention and preparation is a digging of a crater in between halves.
You need to register your complaint NOW
This is not acne or dandruff you are dealing with.
Pls go to Naval Hospital in Navy Town.
ReplyDeleteMadam Pls go to another lab check the condition of your baby, if sound, go back with photocopy of your results demand for the full refund of your money or you call the hospital out while you contact a lawyer to sue them, Pls even if they balance u your money Pls call them out cos you might be saving a life
ReplyDeleteThe best thing is for you to have complete bed rest. I had the same exexperien too and the doctor told me to have complete bed rest.. My son is two years already. Just rest. The Lord is your strength .
ReplyDeleteFrom your lab results, is your cervix closed. . With the spring and all, you should be on bed rest; Asin do not cook, do any form of cleaning, sex. Just lie on the bed, eat, sleep, pray and watch t.v..
ReplyDeleteThere was this lady that lost 9 pregnancies, my Dr. sutured her cervix and admitted her in the hospital from her 14th week, his reason being a Nigerian woman can't be home without doing any chores.
Your pregnancy is high risk, you should be on bed rest till you are delivered..
Madam you are experiencing what they call foetus implantation. The foetus at this stage is attaching itself to the walls of your uterus. Why don't you Google and read more about this information.
ReplyDeleteMy sister had her baby at less than 30 weeks, she and her baby were very well taken care of at Mother and Child. I would recommend that you register there, they have qualified doctors.
ReplyDeleteDear poster...YOu donot need to worry so much.I spotted through out my first trimester..from week 1,I had to go to the hospital for checkup and they said it was threatened abortion and all I needed is absolute and complete bed rest and I took to their advice n that’s what I did during my first trimester,.the bleeding stopped on it’s own .Just rest properly and don’t stress your self too much, your baby would surely be fine.
ReplyDeletePoster i'll advice you to go to that hospital and confront the doctor. what nonsense! Well i just hope the injections he gave you doesn't have effect on you and your baby. That's the more reason i think you should confront him and tell that if anything happens to your baby he will be held responsible. May God be with you dearie and i pray you deliver safely IJN
ReplyDeleteMadam anonymous... Ur husband must be very daft to not knw wat D-dimer is. See her generalizing her claim, rubbish. There are good doctors in Nigeria, and dey are doing well irrespective of the ill-equipped nature of the hospitals. They av learnt to improvise almost everything. Because a quack killed ur dad n ur huband doesn't knw D-diner doesnt mean others don't. PS: its mostly indicated in cases of pulmonary embolism.
ReplyDeleteplease let God lead you.I had a very nasty experience at that Govt hospital(maternal and child center) at 1st gate, festac.
ReplyDeleteI lost my first child due to the negligence of the gynaes.
Most of the gynaes that attend to you on ante natal days do not know jack. They are inexperienced.
They have 2 experienced ones, a woman and a man. Both of them are consultants.
They only allow you to see the two of them if you are well connected, as in , paddy paddy things.
I saw hell. Ha !!!! i have not recovered form the trauma.
All those saying the hospital is well equipped, i shake my head...
I had my baby thru c section and i can tell you there is nothing in their theatre. Just the bed, and that light the use to carry out surgery.
My baby was admitted in the NICU. He was put inside a non functioning incubator cos they didn't have enough for the babies. I didn't know all these cos I was still in pain and couldn't get up to see my new born.
it was after my husband got back from travelling that he discoverd all these but it was too late
long story short, follow your mind
