Mr. Bill Gates, world’s second richest man, has defended his criticism of the Nigerian government when he spoke at the expanded national economic council meeting last week.
At the meeting which was presided over by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, Gates had said the execution priorities of the economic recovery and growth plan do not reflect the true needs of Nigerians.
In an interview with Cable News Network (CNN) on Monday March 26th, Gates insisted that the federal government’s investments in young people, especially in areas of health and education were not good enough. He added that Nigeria would become an engine of growth, if the government got health and education right.
He said: “As a partner in Nigeria, I am saying the current plan is inadequate. Nigeria has all these young people and the current quality and quantity of investment in these young generations; in health and education just isn’t good enough. So, I was very direct. If they can get health and education right, they will be an engine of growth not just for themselves but for all of Africa."
I hope Buhari listens
ReplyDeleteMr Bill Gates plz stop wasting your advice, this ones will never get it right.
ReplyDeleteAs in eh, if he advises from now to eternity, these witches and wizards at the helm of affairs will not listen. But at least I'm glad he said it, as a very prominent man, the whole world will hear.
Deletereal waste if good words!
DeleteBill must have been weeping in that wedding, seeing the larvish lifestyle & flushing down our vital resources in the space of 24hrs, even less!
But do YOU get it right? How much effort have you put to make Nigeria work?
DeleteBill my friend, may you live long! Not strike today strike tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteNicely said by a man who isn't a sycophant. Bill has no time for sweet talking Nigeria when its obvious the nation is sinking.
ReplyDeleteI thought they would have taken notes but I guess they were busy waiting for the picture segment.
DeleteI just wonder what Buhari has to say to him. Asin what level of intellect can Buhari meet Bill Gate at? My evil mind says they should just swap roles and return to their individual capacity just before Buhari does major damage to Microsoft even if it is just for a day, you know.
ReplyDeletehahahahaha man that did not finish primary six, what do you expect him to say. Are you sure he even hear what Bill Gate is saying to him because I am sure he will just be nodding his head like agama
DeleteYou whe go University, read what you typed. Who is better? You or the person you are criticizing? You asked a question without question mark. You used HE but didn’t add S to hear. Use WOULD instead of WILL. Go throw away your certificate please. You are a pitiful graduate. Shame. Olodo
