I sha Wanted to clarify a few points.
These recurrences happened more than x2 times.
Only one instance was with a married man and like i said i turned him down. His "gra gra" to show me he was serious led him to source for my family's home by himself. He lives in the same town with my family whilst I live in an entirely different place. I only got a phone call from home that xyz is here expressing interest do i know him and i immediately said yes but had turned him down. I did not sleep with that man. I don't do married men.
The others are all single men whom i have known at least 10 years. We deep in and out at different points in life touching base , and on each occasions ask me out, i refuse but we remain friendly.re discussing careers, goals and plans (short and long term) and i mention ABC, some have suggested "why not do XYZ and i will handle the finances to achieve that" and then i start working towards that then the disappointment.
Let me say categorically that i ONLY dated one of the men in this scenarios; a SINGLE man and that's the only one i had sex with, after the fact. Infact s3x only came into play about 8years after knowing him. I broke off that relationship eventually but we have actually remained close since then and i have even help him run some of his businesses since then.
So to those who say i am a runs girl i am not. I have always had a job that pays ALL my bills except the time i resigned and i got re employed almost immediately.
To those who say i am lazy or entitled far from it. Like i said in my initial chronicle, the issues they promised to help with eventually got resolved by me. For example, you are hungry and want to eat rice, its quicker and easier to buy cooked rice however if the person who cooks has sold out, you cook at home and eat..just that it ll take a little longer to do.
To those who said i bring bad luck - like i said i have known these people at least a decade and we have been friendly and cordial. I just know that if you say i ll do xyz and i don't hinge my plans on it and you disappoint no wahala but once i start counting on your words and you disappoint, then you will also experience disappointment in 3 folds.

IUI VERSUS IVF
Good DAY Stella, I woke up this morning feeling so depressed. At times I ask myself why. They said ectopic happens in 1 in 1milion women. I have only one tube now which is healthy after the hsg tests. So why me? Why? Well I have been TTC for 10months since then. Hubby was diagnosed with low motility and abnormal shaped mophrology (high percentage). We are thinking of IUI because its cheaper and less invasive. I have browsed and no high success rate compared to IVF. Please Stella just the way you did a post on iui/ivf back in 2015. Kindly repeat the post so we TTC people can learn a thing or two and weigh our options. Do you know some doctors in Nigeria are now exploiting people by doing IUI for them instead of IVF? they sedate the women all through so they won't be aware. Thanks and God bless...

FIBROID IN THE WOMB
Good morning Stella.
Keep up the good work,God bless you for being a blessing to so many.
Please I need the advice of doctors and anyone who has gone through what I'm going through.
Was diagnosed of fibroid in my uterus(womb). Its 2.7cm in size and its causing me serious bleeding. I am trying to conceive and My gynaecologist thinks we should rule out every other cause of infertility before we go for the fibroid(surgery).
However the consultant that carried out the TVS (transvaginal scan) just told me plainly to remove the fibroid as its sitting where a baby should stay and so conception will be hard. My gynaecologist says the uterus is a big space and so the baby can stay in another position in the same uterus. They are both doctors in the teaching hospital I use.
My brother who is a doctor thinks it should be removed since its now symptomatic.
I have heard people say some were not able to conceive even after the surgery.
Please I need the opinion of others who have gone through this and doctors here.
I'm on my period now and this is the 8th day(never happened before) and its still coming out. I bled for 3 days during my ovulation with serious pain.
Please I need help, do I keep enduring this pain and bleeding hoping to conceive soon or should I just go for the surgery.
Whatever I decide will still be extensively discussed with my doctors before anything is done.

THAT CALL FROM GHANA
A BV from Ghana called me this morning just to appreciate me and i am so humbled by that call...she said the call might mean nothing to me as i might have gotten lots of it.....she said what she had to say and cut the line and i was left with mouth hanging loose..I actually didn't want to take the call cos i thought it was oga ''Mummy i want to know you better'' calling with another number as he had been on my case all Morning...
I was irritated with the caller until a Lady's voice sounded.

DeleteThe lady with the fibroid, let me share my experience with you. I ttced for about 4 years. My hormones and every other thing was fine but i had fibroid. Gynae said i should continue to try for a baby though fibroid was intramural(in the womb).
DeleteWhen i got tired of trying and was seeing my period every month, I sought a second opinion and the gynae advised i take out the fibroid. He said i stood the risk of miscarriage even i get pregnant and told me to just go for open myomectomy.
My dear, at this point, I had nothing to lose, i had tried and tried and wasnt getting pregnant so i told God I was going to take the fibroid out.
I was scared but i just had to take it out.
I had my surgery in 2016 and i took in 3 months after. I just missed my period. I was elated, just like that, no fear of fibroid causing miscarriage, my son is going to be 1.
My advise is it depends on the no of years you have been trying and your age. If you are in your 20s, hold on with surgery for another year or so but if you have been ttcing for long, please take that thing out and back it up with prayers.
Please go to a good hospital, very important!!!
I had my surgery in the uk and it went pretty well. All the best and may the lord surprise you, amen. I was told to try for baby No 2 after a year cuz I still have about 2 tiny ones so i don't want to leave my womb for too long.

ReplyDeleteYou can only be exploited if u dunno d difference between iui n ivf, in ivf,no one will sedate u through out d process, u will only be sedated for egg collection n 5 days later, u come for transfer, after transfer you hope for d best!

DeleteIUI/IVF lady you said your hubby has low sperm motility and abnormal morphology why not get a good hospital with a very good / experienced Ob&gnea that would advise you and hubby on what drugs to take to improve the sperm quality before you go for the test because if the sperm is extracted and no vaible sperm it still has to be treated and you should go for hsg depending on the years you are ttcing also if hubby drinks/smokes he has to stop because of the drugs he will be given (which I won't mention) and you two should take folic acid daily also prepare and encourage each other in the journey (psychologically it's tiring) especially the sfa test
DeleteThe fibroid lady it's just one and it's 2.7cm I was diagnosed with multiple intra uterine fibroids of 3.6, 2.4 and 3.8 respectively Jan 2016 was a proud mommy Oct 2017 and I didn't remove anything to the extent I use two packs of always pad with tissue during my period and the pain is out of this world and everyone knows it's my time of the month but if you are advised to remove just know its temporary because it grows back wish I can say more but hand dey pain me , send me a mail to explain better

I am tired of my job, yes, it's a very secured job and many Nigerian Youths will love it.
But asides the academic researches I personally venture into on the sides to keep my brain active, the job itself is very redundant. There's no competition, no stress.
It's just a basic come to work, do the same stressless thing all over again and go home.
No drive, NOTHING. I feel like my youthful age is passing me by doing old people's stuff.
I really want to leave the Job. But then I keep wondering if i am not being ungrateful (considering that i got the job immiediately after NYSC).
I am not happy at all with the job, I really feel like I could do a lot better...
Am i overreaching?

ReplyDeleteIf its causing you abnormal bleeding, then it is sub-serousal...located in the endometrial cavity. It is usually small. Removal of the fibroid will cause cessation of the bleeding. It shouldn't affect your ttcing.
Once a fibroid is symptomatic, it should be attended to.
I was to write same thing ,it's not good for a lady to bleed, eight days that's too much , please go for the surgery and you want a child.

At that point, one may have to go or even two(God forbid) in the process and that would be heartwrenching. So please go ahead with the surgery. ReplyDeleteThat's fibroid small oo compared to mine in the womb too. I have 2 healthy babies that shared their space with a bigger fibroid. They were both delivered at 37 weeks 2 days. I will go for surgery sometime this month.
ReplyDeleteI also have fibroid bigger than yours and I have two kids. It depends on what you call bleeding. I use two packs of pad and I bleed between five to seven days. Mind you I have three and two are intra mural. Take your mind away first from the fibroid and explore other causes of infertility.
DeleteI would soon have my third pregnancy and I don't think about the fibroid. One is measuring 72mm x 68mm and subserous. My dear enjoy yourself and expect your bundle of joy.

The bv considering IUI, with both male n female factor infertility you ain't a good candidate for IUI, IVF will be more beneficial to you.
ReplyDeleteThe other bv with fibroid my dear, have they removed, I'm talking from experience, you most likely will take in after the myomectomy, asides you being symptomatic already, it may be appear small yet obstructing your tubes and also preventing implantation due to its location, especially if submucous. Rule out other causes too, Hsg, hormone profile, SFU. Baby dust to you.
