Taxify Brouhaha - Actress Dorcas Shola Says Driver Has Been Arrested

Nollywood Actress Dorcas Shola-Fapson, on Tuesday morning released a statement on her IG page, and disclosed that the Taxify driver Henry whom she had accused of assault has been arrested and charged to court after being on the run.....

      That she said the taxi driver was on the run does not mean the taxi driver was on the run. After all, she claimed the taxi driver was a rapist. Does that make the taxi driver a rapist? Think women, think!!!

    This is simple reasoning! He was invited for questioning by the police in the first place while Taxify was doing thier investigation, so how on earth was he on the run?? Think pple! Think!!! She's just escalating the whole thing again!

    Men in Nigeria do not understand boundaries and they are fond of doing things the way they deem fit expecting a woman to just go with the flow. What this man did anywhere else would have attracted greater consequences. In this same Nigeria were 5 in 5 women are sexually harrassed and assaulted often, it is the same women who will call her a liar because of her status. This lady will use her status to teach one man a lesson and others will think twice before acting up and entitled with her. You however, will always be dealt with carelessly because you are too filled with naivete and a need to please one silly urchin to stand up for yourself. Her biggest supporters are men because men know what they are capable of.

    Her story does not seem far fetched, it is an everyday occurence in Nigeria. I would have scoffed at her as well if I did not take the time to see life through the eyes of my sisters. It is a pity.

      No harm in verifying things before swearing by them as gospel truth.
      It is quite dangerous putting unconfirmed things out and saying it with such confirmation.
      You can use words like "I heard", "allegedly" etc.
      Na advice I give o.

    If a driver takes you to an unknown neighbourhood, would you be wrong to assume the worst? He may not have intended to rape her but his actions led her to assume that he might hurt her.

    He could have taken her to the police station if he felt that she was being hostile, but chose to drive a customer to his home.

    The actus reus in this case is simply driving her to his home. Her reaction to this- accusing him of rape (slander) and using pepper spray (assault)- in my opinion, will be excused by the law.

      In your small mind, you think slander and accusing him wrongly of rape is excusable? Do you know people have gone to jail for wrong accusations? She should have called it an assault and not try to swing opinion by calling it rape, that shows she's dishonest.
