MEMO TO All Prospective Engaged Couples AND SINGLES

Hello, Stella, good day. Please post this as a separate post on your blog(post as anonymous), for general knowledge.
I am sending this in response to the prevalent  negative 'trends' I do notice on your blog. 

Firstly, I read the Chronicle of the lady who is bitter and; angry because she was dumped by her fiance, months/weeks to the wedding(as well as many other sad tales before hers)and it has made me to ponder on some things.. Stella, I wonder why couples(male and female) don't like taking time first to DEVELOP themselves before RUSHING into marriage. Marriage is both a spiritual and a physical thing.But sadly, a majority focus on the physical, rather than both.


They all look towards the wedding, and forget the marriage(life after the wedding). How can a girl tie all her expectations to a guy(whether engaged or married?) What happened to knowing WHO you are, the kind of man YOU(not your friends, family or society)like, how you both BLEND together and most of all, whether God has assigned the two of you to be together or not. How can you find out all these if you didn't develop yourself properly,investigate your partner well and find out certain things from God before marriage?


Please, let me give a general advice to everyone: Never pick MARRIAGE above EDUCATION and CAREER development - most especially BEFORE marriage!....Ladies, please go to school first and; get a stable job before considering marrying any man(no matter how rich he seems to be).This is because when all chips are down(divorce, separation, etc),you should still have something good to hold onto.
  

 Ladies, before marriage, have a list of the qualities you desire in a man(after working on yourself both spiritually and physically).Table them out and order them based on priority. Then try and check yourself if you also fit into such. Like in all things in life there are certain formal standards that one have to meet, before other add-ons. 


For example, for a lady(in no particular order)Choose a man who is financially stable first. He should have a stable source of Income(he can have more than one). He should come from a good Religious background


(make your choice;whether Christian/Non-Christian; then choose your choice of denomination). Also, his Education(whether semi literate or literate;and; then choose the level-  Schl leaver, Uni graduate, PHD etc).These major ones can then branch out to other ones- please consult google, a marriage counsellor,books on marriage etc.


 Then having done these and cross-checked your compatibiliy, pls go to God in prayers for a confirmation of it or not(you might think he's okay for you, but God might be saying some thing different).After getting the right answers from God, please the both of you should attend a SERIOUS marriage class that asks practical questions for at least 3 months!( and this include going for personal and collective deliverance in a good church for some months too!). 

It's sad that many people fail to recognise the role in which DELIVERANCE plays in a marital set up. We all come from different backgrounds, and we are trying to merge our background with another.Hence the conflict in many homes. Please find out the negative patterns in your spouse(and; his family) and make sure you both pray them out for months before marriage (and; sleeping with each other before marriage), or else, you would'nt want to know how it would end. Do this, read books on marriage, and; go with the mindset that marriage is hardwork!... Therefore, be mature in the spirit and; also ensure you marry someone who's mature too, so that you both can work out your marriage well. Research on marriage and; learn from others who have made mistakes before & in their marriages, and; try not to repeat them.Lastly, always be ready, but not desperate for marriage. 

Like I believe, if you prepare well, and; always watch your steps(in courtship),with God leading the way(side eyes to those pretending to be Christians or think they know it all), I don't think you would fall. But if you fall, you will rise again.

Finally,I believe that most of the chronicles being sent in, lack either most or all of what I stated above. Even though I focused on the ladies, guys can also learn from this: Never be desperate for marriage, or get married out of fear or pity.Also, learn to pick a struggle and stick to it. If you cant live with a cheat, don't marry one!...Select the best character traits you can LIVE with, while selecting the ones you can ENDURE!...no marriage is all perfect, we all struggle with something when the curtains are down!

Enough of the unending Chronicles already!...people should start buying a brain and; using it. Please, read and; learn from the Chronicles being sent it!...

VACANCY FOR A LIVE IN NANNY

Hi Lovely Stella,

Happy Val's day. Please I need an experienced Live in Nanny, to take care of my 2kids and do house chores:

I got my last help through this blog, by someone who recommended her as his neighbour living at ikorodu. She was very pretty, and she came with her dad who happened to be an lmman, and he assured me of her character. We liked ourselves and she started work, only for me to notice what looks like a bump on her, she denied at first and later confessed the truth, she was about to be married to BV who recommended her. I was careless for trusting "religious people" to be honest in their dealings with others.

We have fallen into a routine, am upset about the disruption because I need her help now more than before, she also let me make plans around her. The effects on my kids too. Just sad. But I have to let her go, because am now getting shortchanged and doing the work am paying for, plus, worrying about someone's health. Based on the above:
1.Please no pregnant women, am  looking for some one who will help me with my kids, not to add to my headache. I will conduct  medical tests.
2. If you are looking for who to bring you to Lagos, please skip, I wouldn't send transport money to no one.
3. Please know the person(s) you recommend very well.
4. Grand mothers are welcome, as long as they know its work they will be doing not sleeping in their daughter's house.
5. If you feel, you just need the job to raise capital for your business or any personal project, that's fine, kindly let me know how long you intend to work for (Minimum 3 months).

Please all these traits listed are based on past experience, so don't call and  try to convince me on any of the above especially the sending money part.

RE-PLEA FOR HELP IN FINDING A JOB

She had a plea for job posted in Tuesday's in house news

Hello ST,

I was in the comment section and saw a lot of critics. Please permit me to clarify issues,

1) My husband is an honest man and didn't deceive me in anyway.

The money wasn't fixed in a commercial bank,it was with an asset management company which pay 5% every month. We both weighed the option and decided before he deposited it and never had any issues with interest until it was time we needed to withdraw it. It was a business risk and all is not lost yet.

Out of 1.5M they paid 500k. (Now dont tell me 500k would do a trad wedding, which was what we were advised until we ventured in!) It was less than we budgeted, there wasnt enough time, date was already out.I had to put my money in some arrangements which if he had his way, he would've taken care of. (How much do I even have fa,but no matter how little,it was still my savings)

2) the anonymous who said we weren't financially ready and he/she foresee future begging for even foodstuff....lol my dear that was too harsh and it will not get to that,our feets are planted on higher grounds and my God is too faithful to fail! com'on!!

You all left the issue at hand and are critising me on something else ah ahhh. ..

I didn't come to beg for financial help in anyway please...I for one I'm a giver,

or to get advice on how i "married myself" awesome.. (so people criticising if you are the ones in my shoe you wont put a dime or raise a finger to the success of your own wedding?)

I only hinted on why this is not a good time for me to be out of work because of issues of flexibility that may arise.


ST like i told you, I'm doing my best to maintain my current job. But I don't want to take chances,so it's better for me to be a step ahead.

Anyone who's interested in helping me should please not be discouraged.I still need it and I'll be very grateful.
