Nigerian-born England footballer and Tottenham Hotspur star Dele Alli’s heartbroken yesterday, revealed their despair at having no part in the superstar’s life.
And his father Kehinde, a multi-millionaire businessman, tells how the only thing missing in his life is his first-born son.
Despite splitting when Dele was a child, his parents came together this week and spoke out in a desperate bid to repair their relationship with the £60,000-a-week Spurs midfielder.
As they opened up family albums to reveal happy photos of Dele’s childhood Kehinde, 47, told the Sunday Mirror: “I just do not understand what we have done wrong. He refuses to speak to me and it feels like he’s been taken from us. But I won’t give up on getting him back.”
Dele’s mum Denise, 53, added: “I’m a very miserable person because I get so sad that Dele is missing out on his family and we’re missing out on him. I want to be able to hug him and let him know we all love him to bits. I’m not interested in his money, I’d love him the same if he worked in McDonald’s. We just want our son back.”
Dele, 20, is considered English football’s biggest rising star. He won the prestigious PFA Young Player of the Year award at the end of last season and is now being linked with a mega-money move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.
But while his career has rocketed since leaving home-town club Milton Keynes Dons, his relationship with his parents has completely broken down.
Neither has been able to see him since he signed for Tottenham in February 2015 – an estrangement which has not only broken their hearts but left them bewildered.
Dele Alli said he had no comment to make on his parents’ claims.
From Mirror
*Why didnt they try to contact him before fame? And now embarrassing him in the press to give in to their plea?SMH
But his dad is a millionaire, don't know why he abandoned him
ReplyDelete*Larry was here*
I like him sha, serious no comment.
ReplyDelete47yrs and 53yrs. 6 fucking yrs! This tribe and gigolo work.
DeleteAll for the money. He is earning N60,000 pounds a week. Mama and papa eyes open say this one no go pass me. Yeye
ReplyDeleteHe should forgive them to be free from the law of not loving ya neighbour as yourself.
Are you daft ? His father is a millionaire.
DeleteEven if the dad isn’t a millionaire, they are his parents!!! He should forgive whatever it is lol
DeleteHe should forgive, we all make mistake.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they never supported his dream to become a footballer. Maybe tried to control his choices and he stubbornly followed his dream. All these rich Nigerian men who think they can control their children
ReplyDeleteForgive man....Success is the sweetest revenge.
ReplyDeleteOkwu di ya. Gbam
DeleteSon please forgive your parent ooo.No matter what they bring into this world.
ReplyDeleteThey are not saying the truth. They must have done something that made him to distance himself from them.
ReplyDeleteWhy are they coming out now?
Useless men impregnating women up and down. This is the result. If he was not a successful footballer will they look him side? I'm sure they sold their story to the press upon all their we don't need his money. Parents like this dey make me vex, embarrassing the boy. Not an iota of remorse. Mcheww
ReplyDeleteA child that the father abandoned and returned to 9ja to marry another wife...mother had substance addiction issues and Dele was then adopted by his classmates parents....now dude has made it and suddenly the parents want to be in his life
ReplyDeleteFor real?
DeleteHmmmmm..how can the" father abandoned" him and still be his father best man during the second wedding?...
Delete@silvia where did u get DAT gist from DAT the father abandoned him?
DeleteIf truly he did how come he told john fashanu to talk to his dad when they wanted him to come play for Nigeria while still at DAT small town's club years ago?
I can categorically tell u dat dis man never abandoned dele,in fact he stayed with his dad l more Dan d mum.
There is a disconnect somewhere.
The parents have not said the truth and why is it now they want him back? What happened the years back? Before he became popular why didn't they look for him? Nonsense
ReplyDeleteSo sad but why wait for almost 3 years to look for him? Something is fishy.
ReplyDeleteThey probably hurt him at a point, who leaked Dele 's sex tape?
ReplyDeleteIf you look at th chronological order of this 20 year old. He could not have lived with his dad for more than 3 years in total. After getting remarried the father sent him back to the UK aged 10 years where schooling is free thereby removing himself from the responsibilities of schooling the boy and providing for him. The mum was busy drinking and took him to his friends family to raise him at 11 years old. The boy had no parental support and at age 18 he broke through making big bucks. Now his parents come crying. The parents should leave him alone. The fat stepmum being a typical naija stepmum probably told the father to send him back to his mum so that her own children can eat and inherit all the father's money.
ReplyDeleteDisfunctional home. I reject it for my children in Jesus name.
ReplyDeletemarry well then,if you marry a bad man or bad woman without good parental upbringing ,it will definitely reflect on your child .
ReplyDeletePeople will always remember you when your rich. Even your so called parents that should be encouraging you, they either talk down on you, therefore encourage their kids to go into illicit things all because of money.
ReplyDeleteFinally when God bless you, they run back like hungry dogs. I don't respect such idiots.
Matter of fact, I will send my story soon. For the world to read.
Some parents are so wicked.
NB:- if you find yourself in a toxic family, pls be very close to God. Then be 10x hard working
the dad especially is a GOLD DIGGER
ReplyDeleteI bet when Dele hit it big the father wanted to be his agent, wanted to control his career, was requesting signing commission for himself. I bet the father wanted royalty payments for the use of the name Alli on the jersey that is why Dele started using dele on his jersey. Dele having seen the dad's greed was probably advised by his lawyer or agent to distance himself from his parents to protect his career and reputation.
