Wedding Dress Brouhaha Deepens As It Emerges Model Wore Dress Before Mercy Aigbe + Dress Sent To Bride Pictured

Mercy Aigbe wore a red dress on her Birthday and all hell broke loose as the Original owner of the dress called out the fashion designer who did not deliver it to her..

The named fashion designer did a press release saying there was dispatch error but it seems she spoke too soon as new images indicate a Model wore the Dress before actress Mercy Aigbe....

THAT IS THE DRESS SENT TO THE BRIDE IN PLACE OF THE ONE MERCY AIGBE WORE......

So many questions that need answers...How come the dress sent in error fit the Bride perfectly?

Looks like the dress maker deliberately held unto the dress......?

Very painful for the clothes to be worn by model and mercy.

Obioma you no try at all. I hope you will redeem that your wicked oleistic character. Very bad of you to try to make gains from someone's sweat.

    1. Dint I tell you guys that this designer is a witch, how do they even look alike enough to get confused.
A model wearing it isn't even a problem Cus people wear clothes in their boutiques so they can advertise it ( which is wrong). But it was obviously not mercys size, the back zip was open that's why her boobs looked funny while sitting.
The designer should return the brides money even with the other cloth Cus this is wickedness and not professional

    2. Not every publicity brings good tidings. This is bad publicity. Popper would know she's good but they will know she can't be trusted. They will know they might or might not be disappointed on their day. Go to Instagram and read a lot of stories about people she did this same thing to that didn't speak out and you will know she has started ruining her career herself

I think the bride would ve let go and not publicize the issue, why not thank God for the success of your wedding amidst the pain you went through with the dress issue. the dress is creating unnecessary attention. The designer should be hold Responsible not Mercy pls.the way Nigerians storm mercy's page to curse her out is worrisome. #MY OPINION

    3. What are you saying? What kind of watery comment is this? It's your opinion yes but I think if she was compensated with the money spent it would have been different but to give her a lower quality and stand by your word that's evil. Plus this isn't the first time of being unprofessional, she needed to be called out at a particular time, and it was time

    5. But why would Mercy agree to put on a dress that is not her size cus if it were, the boobs would have been perfect and not dangling like I am seeing it.
Secondly, Mercy did you give this material to the designer or you bought it already made?or u just chose to model it for her?
These are questions that will end this brouhaha.

  8. This is just terrible. A fabric the bride bought with her own money. Everybody was just wearing it left right center.
I guess the dress came out better than expected and the wicked tailor did not want to let go, asper "my masterpiece".
Or is it that mercy saw both her dress and this one and told the designer she wants the "finer one".
This designer is so wicked. She knew what she was doing. She could still have sent the bride her own dress even the day of the wedding. How far is benin to Lagos. She won't even change into the reception dress till evening.
Even if I'm to believe her lies of mix up,;this dress could still have been delivered to the bride day of the wedding. You go all out for a customer when you know a mistake is from you:especially knowing it is her wedding day. Mercys own is just birthday shoot. Not even her actual birthday outfit.
flight Benin is like 45mins or less. By road 3/4 hours.

I hope the bad publicity which she is reaping as fruts of deceitful slimy acts, cheap lies and calculated wickedness is worth it.
May something not happen to your right hand...i mean it literaly, for this heavily crooked seed you have sown Madam Designer.
Wicked greedy scum, hope you sleep easy.
So many Nigerians are inherently wicked and tomorrow this one finds herself where others are truly at her mercy... Jesus Lord!
Madam designer, go and beg that lady privately, pay her fully and 50 % extra for both clothes and workmanship. Ask her to pray for you and make a sincere public/social media apology for this mess.....if you like ignore, you will spend more on Baba and fake pastors when it starts. When the public is nursing such heavily deserved evil will towards you, YOU ARE CURSED!
Pray for that your right hand though, don't wanna hear an accident did....

  12. Stella, tailors/ designers always have dresses available in different size. All she needed was to know the brides size and send her something from her collection. They always have ready to wear..

The tailor is just a greedy being that decided to let a bride go thru stress on her day. I saw the dress on mercy that day and I knew it wasn't her size. The bust area seemed off. The shoulder area seemed off. The dress itself didn't sit well with mercy and we all know how dresses sit well on mercy.

If it were to be me, I'll sue. I kuku have plenty lawyers around me that will like to do things like this for free for me.

    1. The designer could have remedied the situation.. but she took the poor bride for granted cos she felt she didn't have a voice and just like the usual Naija-Tailor way.. she would apologise her way out of the mess in the new year.
Thank God social media is there to expose their inprofessional behavior

    2. Fab mum the bride bought her own fabric and sent it to the designer. This wasn't ready to wear. It was simply choosing a style and sewing.
And trust me lace ain't cheap. That lace I'm seeing there will cost atleast 50/60k. Even if it's not up to that. It's still her darn fabric she went to market to get. That's the painful part for me sef.

      Delete
    3. Which 50/60k? This is not Onitsha fabric. Do you know quality at all?

      This cost 180k.

    4. Bed and roses I understand. Stella asked why the bride had a dress sent to her that fitted her well and that was my reply.
I know the bride bought a material and gave the tailor. I have read all the evil tailor did to the girl..
Everything about that story is annoying hence why I said she should sue. This is a win win.

  16. The bride's dress is equally fine and looks like that of mercy, although mercys didn't seem to fit, but the bride's a perfect fit. I feel mercy saw both and chose the bride's for the shoot, while they adjusted mercys to fit the bride and deliberately delayed till when she had no choice but to accept it. Of course mercy would have been given top priority in all this.Quite sad, i feel bothfabric are also very similar.

    Truth from an insider.

Mercy came to the shop and fell in love with the red dress; she begged and pleaded for it even when she was told it’s for a bride, she offered to pay X3.

So the designer quickly devised a plan to send a layabout design she’s had for ages to the bride. Thinking the bride will just let it go. As it is the designer and mercy never envisaged things will turn out this way.

      Delete
  24. The problem isn't that a model wore the dress.. Most designers have signature designs that attract customers to them.
A customer sees their model wearing it, buys the fabric and makes same thing.
The issue here is that this Rika lady said she made same style and size for Mercy and The bride... And mistakenly sent Mercy’s own to her.
That is a blatant lie cos the picture up there does not look anything like that of the bride’s original material and style.
Rika should quit with these horrible excuses and tender an unreserved apology to the bride!!
For those asking why the bride came out... Injustice is a hard pill to swallow. Not everybody can swallow it easily.

    1. Just imagine the lie. How are those 2 materials thesame?? I'm no tailor but I can spot a lot of difference in the materials.

Secondly, she said she sowed same style for both of them and sent wrong measurement to them. The lie πŸ€₯ πŸ€₯!!! Imagine the dress she gave the bride. Very bland style. No good fitting, not worthy for reception dress even. Oh lord.

The most annoying are those asking why the bride is making noise about it, because your sketch rubbish doesn't mean another can take it. Someone like me would have dealt so good with her she will beg to settle out of court. Because the charges I'll throw ehh.. It's not even. My case but I already have like 3 charges against her them slam her with a 10m naira lawsuit for causing emotions and mental stress, theft and many more..

    The worst.

Whoever wrote it needs rigorous training in Crisis Communication.

I doubt it is her first time doing this.

I guess this is just a case of her cup runneth over.

    And guess what?

There are many other tailors (yes I said 'tailors') doing the very same thing.
