      Sue your ass. If it was a dress stolen from a murder victim you will be in jail by now ie if not dead. Ignorance is not an excuse. Instead of you to be thankful that it wasn't worse than this. The designer made a statement that you brought exact same material etc. It took you almost one year to even respond or debunk. Your silence over this issue at the appropriate time can be argued as guilt. Imagine coming to your home to find a dead body and then reporting to the police after 1month as against immediately.
