Black Out Nationwide In Nigeria On Tuesday As Nigeria's Power Grid Collapsed

Nigeria’s power grid collapsed on Tuesday night, leading to widespread blackout across the country.

It was gathered that the collapse was due to a fire incident on the Escravos Lagos Pipeline System of the Nigerian Gas Processing and Transportation Company Limited.

The incident led to a shutdown of the pipeline that supplies gas to six thermal power plants resulting to the collapse of the country’s electricity grid.

This was confirmed by the Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing in a statement issued around 12:44am on Wednesday.

  11. Hmmmmmmm.
No wonder the light went off before the normal time they usually take it. Bcoz, we are already use to power outages, we didn't really notice it was a national phenomenon.

  12. I don't know what you people are talking about. I live in lagos. We've had uninterupted power supply for several months now in my area. They hardly take our light ,if they do at all, you can bet it will be restored the next minute. Fasola is working. Salute Sir

Note: There's no light in my village though. I believe their light problems will be fixed with time
