Mr. Uche Secondus has been sworn in as the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party at the elective National Convention of the party.
The PDP chief defeated Professor Tunde Adeniran and Raymond Dokpesi to emerge victorious at the party’s controversial national convention which commenced on Saturday at the Eagles Square in Abuja.
He was declared winner of the election after polling 2,000 votes, compared to the 230 votes secured by Professor Adeniran and the 66 votes Dokpesi got in the election.
Governors of Rivers and Ekiti States, Messrs Nyesom Wike and Ayodele Fayose, actively mobilised support openly for the new party chair.

wooow..good luck to him and all thr best..though not a party supporter butvi thought dokpesi would carry the day because he campaigned well and went to all states..what do i even know in politics? just shows u the kinda system we operate..your hardwork hardly guarantee you sucess.when it comes to elections..there are powers...the king makers...money....connection and an election winning team put in place..i guess that was what secondus did..all the best to him.
ReplyDeleteDokpesi shouldn't worry because they'll find a way to compensate him. The party still needs his media platforms for publicity, not like she can't publicise without him oo but you know na. On the other hand, I'm still trying to remember if Secondus hasn't been humiliated by this same party at one time or the other. Politics.
DeleteWe await the emergence of Atiku as PDP presidential flag bearer. That is almost as sure as day break. Politics.
Congrats to him
