President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday said he thought he was 74 but was told he was 75.
Buhari spoke when the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Muhammed Bello, led a delegation to pay him Christmas homage at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Speaking, Buhari recalled the health challenge that kept him away from the country for months earlier in the year.
He said he had recovered well from the sickness because he obeyed his doctors who instructed him to be eating and sleeping well.
“I am very grateful (to you) for taking time out on a very important day to come out and spend it with us ”, Punch quoted him as saying.
“It has been a tumultuous year. I am thinking I am 75. I thought I was 74 but I was told I was 75.
“I have never been so sick, not even during the 30-month civil war that I was stumbling under farm of yams or cassava.
“But this sickness…I don’t know, but I came out better. All those who saw me before said I look much better when I came back.
“But I have explained it to the public that as a General, I used to give orders. But now, I take orders.
” The doctors told me to feed my stomach and sleep for longer hours. That is why I am looking much better,” he said.

Well it is like Serena Williams’ Twitter post where she said she went to Wikipedia to check her age. She is far younger with fresher brain than an older man but people will accept her twitter but attack our president. Just saying.
ReplyDeleteThe blood of those he killed during the Civil war will hunt him to his grave.
DeleteA man that doesn't recognize that power is transient, how can he remember his age. How quickly he forget to make Nigerian's lives better only for him to impose unspeakable hardship.
May he never know peace in these last days of his sad and miserable life. Insha-Allah.
Very funny
ReplyDeleteIt's not funny my dear. I hope he remembers to wake up in 2018. I pray Nigeria never experience the types of Buhari again. That man is a disaster and a curse on Nigerians.
DeleteIs this our president? Or a clone? Could ipob be right? Is it as we have seen in western movies??? I'm just thinking aloud!!!😱😩😮
ReplyDeleteChai. Baba Ooo
ReplyDeleteStella, that ur pic down is what is even making me laugh sef. As for PMB not knowing his age, that's his own palaver.
ReplyDeleteBaba is jess 'clowning'. Hehehehe!
ReplyDeleteThe president sleeps more, the economy slips more.
ReplyDeleteIts of no use knowing his real age.
ReplyDeleteThis is a country where a governor said he attended University of Toronto only for the school to deny he was ever a students student yet nothing happened
Public figures are never truthful.
It is well
ReplyDeletenot knowing his actual age is common among his peers but presidor no sleep to much abeg in 2018 bcoz we need to change dis economy 4 those dat are fully awake sir.
ReplyDeleteno wonder d economy d sleep as well. it is well insh Allah
ReplyDeleteThis baba should be like 85.. they're using "official" age for him. Donald Trump is in his 70s and you can how agile he is. Buhari is way older.
ReplyDeleteSomeone cannot forget his age again?😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
ReplyDeleteBut pls sleep less in 2018 biko
And that's why we're having a tse-tse fly economy...
ReplyDeleteJixox
DeleteThe sleep is enough now, time to wake up...
ReplyDeleteTruly Nigeria need a younger and vibrant leader. With all the problems we are facing. How can someone be sleeping much longer than necessary at this critical period. Were everything is at at a standstill. Hmmmm. Gosh we need an intervention seriously.
ReplyDeleteBaba should go to his family home in Daura and continue sleeping there. He should leave Aso rock for more vibrant mind. Come 2018_we don't need a sleeping president. Enough is enough.
ReplyDeleteLol. I 'Supriseth' not.
ReplyDeleteBuhari was 33 in 1967, do your calculation.
ReplyDeletePLEASE, BUHARI IS 85 YEARS. MY DAD WORKED WITH HIM AS A JUNIOR OFFICER IN LONDON.
