The Nigerian versatile actress revealed to Online Nigeria that it is sometimes awkward looking at the societal pressures as to when she is getting married and all that even though she doesn’t give ears to such pressures.
She rightly stated that she would commit to marriage on her own terms and conditions and not succumb to unnecessary pressures from society.
“I will live with the man, so it is very important that I do it because I want to, not because society wants it for me”, Rita said.
She expressed optimism that she would marry soon, saying, “I believe that God is in control of my life and will present the right man to me at the right time”.
On the question of whether she was currently dating, she said, “I do date sometimes when someone comes around.
“I love being totally drawn to someone and doing all the loving things couples do, but I am wary of liars and bullies”, she added.
Rita Dominic is a graduate of the University of Port Harcourt where she majored in Theatre Arts and has also won a host of prestigious movie awards.

ReplyDeleteAbeeg find one young bobo and use your money marry the guy. Yes,you heard me right. Life is not always fair,a times we tend to make a lot of sacrifices to be happy. Don't die lonely and frustrated. Marriage is all about companionship.

ReplyDeleteMy fellow Unique Uniport chick. Marriage will happen when it would. I like it when she said she will be the one to live with the man not society. I'm with her on this, not to give into pressure, then regrets, unhappiness follows and divorce.
ReplyDeleteWhat is the use of marriage sef?
You say what. Rita is hooked for life forget this marriage story, she has Michelle Dede's hot fingers in between her legs, making her scream all day long.

Delete@Anon 11:58 dear, Nothing wrong. As long as she's happy, it's her life.
Delete@Anon 14:18, that doesn't mean Michelle doesn't like men! She could be bisexual so don't conclude!
Babe enjoy your single life oh, the same useless society will mock u if your marriage fails as they are patiently waiting to hear bad news about Adesua & Banky.

ReplyDeleteMy RiRi
ReplyDeleteI wonder how she cope with the lonliness.. At least if don't want to marry, try and have a child for the sake of old age... But Aunty Rita still dey find Mr Right.. SMH
ReplyDeleteIntroduce ur man to her let him go n impregnate her.
DeleteBlackberry oo😂😂
DeleteYou think having a child will stop you from being lonely? When that child gets married and chooses their spouse over you etc what would you do? Having a child outside wedlock is a problem for the child because when he grows that child will give you sleepless nights if you don't show him/her the dad. It is better to adopt in future the child knows you did him a favour. Having kids out of wedlock because you want to avoid loneliness is a selfish act.
DeleteAnon 12:20... Do u realize u sound daft? So d adopted child won't get married tomorrow and leave home? Is it only biological children that leaves home? Adopted child will know u did him a favour but ur own biological child won't appreciate u? SMH!
DeleteU said d child will grow up tomorrow to ask for his father? Why won't they ask of their father? Of course they will have fathers.. Riri will not climb ontop of herself to get pregnant..
Yvonne Nelson is a single mother and she has a baby daddy..D same thing applies to Anna Banner,Sandra Okagbue,Pero Adeniyi,Oritsefemi baby mamas,Sophia Momodu,Wizkid'd baby mama's. Kids born outside wedlock do have fathers and they will grow up knowing who their fathers are.. Dont shout as if having a child outside wedlock automatically means they won't have daddies..
May sense fall on u so dat u will stop reasoning like a bush woman/man.

too mch selection & high taste is responsible for most single ladies, theyre not ready to compromise.. 4getn that u cnt have it all, just as ure not complete, u must forfeit something, either height, average pocket, tribe or religion.
ReplyDeletelast last if ure happier being single, thats good
Reedee,God got you dear, it must surely happen at the right time..
ReplyDeleteVery soon
Riri the babe I love this lady
ReplyDeleteQuestion is till what age will one keep waiting for Mr right. How many men over 40 do you even find single. Except divorcee and widowers, who come with baggage.
ReplyDeleteI know what I'm saying, married late at 36. I dated the good, bad and worst. Till I finally found him at 35.
Biological clock is ticking at 42. Marry the one you can find, someone of your class offcourse. Even if you are richer. So far he is a good decent man that's works and contributes to the home. He may not be able to buy you hermes bag or Fly you first class. But he can look after your kids needs.
Children are the koko. Abeg Aunty Rita marry one. When I see the likes of Angela Onyeador,Ruth Osime etc and other beautiful succesful women that did not enjoy motherhood and marriage, it isn't a good thing abeg. Success is good, but better with a loving family.
Just my opinion, make nna no bash me.
Marriage is not for everybody. Not everyone is destined to get married and procreate. Marry the one u can find??? Really? Lol geeezzzz
DeleteMy dear there are still many people with children that still died lonely and sad,my dear life is strange and let's pray to be lucky. There is a woman I know that was thrown out of her daughter's house because she was labelled a witch. Let's u strive to live a good life because nothing guarantees happiness.
DeleteWhat are you even saying? If she found someone with the qualities you stated above, she'd have been married already.
DeleteGod forbid bad thing. It's a bad thing for a woman to decide to stay up to 42 without marriage. If a woman like Reedee stays until 42 without marriage, then it's her decision. A woman with beauty, affluence and fame... God forbid bad thing.
ReplyDeleteI'm outtie

DeleteHer life, her choice. Live yours and let her live hers.
DeleteAnon 11:34, your opinion sucks and I would not mind you shoving it up your nose. Who made you the omini-knowest to say not being married is bad? Pray tell, where and what book is it written that marriage is a 'must' for everyone? You are the pressure-giving, energy-sapping, nose poking society we keep talking about.
ReplyDeleteCorrect babe...pepperdem babe...I love you for real.
ReplyDeleteI love you riri. But you were also busy chasing a married man j.hundah dstv md and wrecked his marriage. If he luvd u dat much why won’t him wife u since he is divorced now. but he’s a serial womanizer I guess ur head dey there.hes not a husband but good for runs
ReplyDeleteCommissioner of Gwegs. Abeg no body should annoy me I just burnt my full pot of soup. I have anger management issues

DeleteOnce they start to call you aunty, you known your village people don succeed. Like Isaacson dey call Stella, "aunty Stella." Lol😂😂
DeleteNo matter what anybody says whether you have a great marriage or have none, we will all die out of this life and there will be at some time no earthly memory of our existence, it will be as if we never existed. Best thing to do is make yourself happy in this moment. Whether you're married, single, with child or barren just choose to be happy.
ReplyDeleteBitter truth is those that speak ill of marriage are the ones who secretly desperately want to marry, but no one to marry them, the societal pressure is bad, my cousin just got married,if u see how people are saying finally as if it's an achievement , then I realised everyone wants to be married
ReplyDeleteI love you Rita! I really do! xoxo
