  2. Some tailors won't make heaven. My sisters won is the worst, I always quarrel with her on behalf of her customers.

  3. My tailor is holding my clothes since Dec 9 2016. All these Festac tailors fear God.

He has promised me Dec 27 2017.
My cousin has introduced me to one badass tailor in Ajegunle.
    I am hopeful.

  16. No tailor can try that game on me. In fact my tailor always says it himself. You guys haven't learn how to deal with them yet that's why. You keep laughing with them or taking them as friends; why won't they disappoint you. Also try tipping them from time to time in addition to what they charged you.

  18. I am wearing Chinese sweatshop couture this season, cheap and easy to find anywhere. Taking a one month getaway to the Caribbean to enjoy the warm weather and get out of the cold. Leaving this Friday and I wanna be bad when I'm away, but I'm gonna be good. Hope I win the lottery before the end of the year.

  19. The secret is to pay them well and then stick to them like glue, that's if you need your clothes to be delivered on time. Characteristic of nature, the tailors and seamstresses will just dump your materials if you wanna play busy with them or haggle over their prices, lol! Some will even have the nerve to tell you to try and person when it's the eve of the day you need to make use of the clothes. However, you will be placated once the yuletide is over...with beggings and excuses that they were working under pressure, lol!
I have many of them as friends and I can relate.

  20. Some of these tailors are just lazy like my sister. I cant believe she gave sew the clothes I gave since October. She just dumped one side forming busy for me. Meanwhile I pay her ooo, my mom and siblings don't give her clothes again to sew for them. Cos no matter when u gave her the clothes, she never finish on time.

  21. I think it helps to understand your tailor. I realised that whenever I give my dear tailor fabrics a month or two ahead she will always sew it a day to the day I need it or the day I call her that I'm coming for the cloth. So I tried a new approach with her. If I need the outfit let's say...on the 5th of Dec, I will show up at her place on the 3rd & tell her it's express & I need it tomorrow. She will always scream & lament but I get the cloth the next day with a little extra money which pays me than fighting and calling and going to and fro. I have sure I sit with her and gist small and leave when I see she has started cutting the fabric. I've used this approach for so long with her now that when I call she says 'you need the cloth tomorrow abi? Oya bring it' She has given up on me and I have peace now.

    1. Gbammest!!!!

Worked for me for 5 years now.

Don't ever give them a bag of clothes. You'll never collect. Only give clothes you're wearing 'this weekend'

Also, don't have just ONE person.

  22. I gave my tailor an aso ebi 3 weeks ago which I am to collect today. I woke up this morning to his message telling me he cannot rememeber the style I choose. I just laughs and told him before I reach his shop by 4, he better sow my cloth or hell will break loose for him today. Tailors and disappointment are 5 and 6.
