First Ever Successful Kidney Transplant Took Place Yesterday In South Eastern Nigeria

The first ever successful kidney transplant in the South Eastern part of Nigeria took place at Federal Medical Center Umuahia, Abia State.





An excited Facebook user whose Brother-in-law was part of the doctors shared the great news.

    1. But why are Nigerians such poor students of history? Kidney transplants used to be done in St Nicholas Hospital in Lagos 20yrs ago. This is great news and does not need to be embellished so please don’t brand this as the 1st ever kidney transplant in Nigeria. The lies take something away from this excellent, feel-good story.
