Doctor And Entire Family Perish In Crash Enroute To Her Wedding

A female medical doctor awaiting induction, Dr Ijeoma Onwubalili, and three members of her family have lost their lives in an auto crash in Benue state on the way to her traditional wedding in Anambra.

Other members of the family that lost their lives in the accident that occurred along Aleyede and Oturkpo in Benue State on Sunday include her parents, Mr Simon and Mrs Ifeoma Onwubalili, and her sister, Grace Onwubalili.

According to The Punch, the victims were indigenes of Ufuma in the Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State, but were based in Jos, Plateau state.

They were headed to Anambra for Ijeoma’s traditional wedding scheduled for December 31 when the accident occurred.

The driver of the car and one of the family members, Marvel Onwubalili, survived the accident.

    2. Why does the driver always survived? Most of the fatal accident that lost most of the passengers always have the driver as the sole survivor and that puzzles me

    1. I heard this gist yesterday and my hubby hasn't remained the same, it's his relative and the driver they employed to convey them kept on speeding. It was supposed to be a big wedding but the devil came and did his own. To think they have lost 4 other people from their fathers family this year, it's so painful

    2. They lived in Kubwa o, which jos? And it's a toddler that survived, I don't know who would take care of that baby now

    3. Lived in kubwa? No, they even have a house in jos, she schooled in unijos before she left for anambra but returned to jos after her induction unless they relocated recently but then again they were traveling from jos to the east...

    4. Over speeding is not good, they won't hear. That is how the devil use the driver. I hate it when drivers speed too much. I am always complaining and shouting when I am in a car and the driver is speeding but sometimes the other occupants in the car won't even caution the driver as if they are enjoying the speed. Just a little mistake,it will be had I know. Rip to the Ifeoma and her family. This is very painful

  25. Holy Sonnets:
Death, be not proud BY JOHN DONNE
Death, be not proud, though some have called
    thee
    Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so;
For those whom thou think'st thou dost
    overthrow
Die not, poor Death, nor yet canst thou kill me.
From rest and sleep, which but thy pictures
    be,
Much pleasure; then from thee much more
    must flow,
And soonest our best men with thee do go, Rest of their bones, and soul's delivery.
Thou art slave to fate, chance, kings, and
    desperate men,
And dost with poison, war, and sickness
    dwell,
And poppy or charms can make us sleep as well
And better than thy stroke; why swell'st thou
    then?
One short sleep past, we wake eternally
And death shall be no more; Death, thou shalt
    die.

  26. That Makurdi road is a death trap. in 1997 I was travelling to get my result from my secondary school to present at my new school screening. Driver was on high speed and would not listen and we ended up with a terrible accident. God is great we all survived but today I can't get pregnant cos my reproductive organs was highly affected. See how great lives are being wasted because of a horrible country. what a loss. RIPP.

However, if she was reported as going for NYSC, the post would have been littered with "Scrap NYSC", |what is the benefit of NYSC", "when are they scrapping this NYSC", so why aren't there posts saying the traditional marriage ceremony at the village should be scrapped?

    Why?
