if domestic violence wasn't their issue, I see no reason she couldn't forgive him. Give her son a permanent day to day father's love and teaching.

When I got married I had to cool down on my bossy behaviour and learn to be submissive.
It isn't easy for a single girl finding love, not to talk of a single mum in her mid to late 30's. Lets be wise, so you don't end up alone. I have so many aunts that took this root in their younger days. left their marriage at the sight of a problem. They are still single now in their 50s. They have even forgotten marriage. Now they are busy trying to seek the affection of married men because that is all they can find. How many single men without relationship/engaged / marriage can you find between the ages of 37-50.

DeleteAnonymous9:57, you raised good points until you mentioned 'so they don't end up alone'. As much as marriage is beautiful and a gift from God, singleness is also a gift. None is greater than the other. The society paints single people as miserable but with social media now, it's obvious married ones can be in misery as well. Ending up alone doesn't mean misery. Let's accord due respect to people, whether they are married or not. Whichever path they choose is honorable. Married or single, God provides the grace.

I don't know about her real life but I sensed the pride in Lilian's character in 'Clinic Matters'and when the series all but turned to 'Nurse Abigail Show' I finally switched off. If that's how she plays in real life, good luck to her.

ReplyDeleteWhat happened to always living a dignified life right from your youth. That doesn't take away you dating and having fun in your school days. So that even if someone threatens to bring out your ''past'' to a prospective spouse or his family, you are not shaking in your boots.
Truth is we are in Africa, where a lot of people still believe in a culture of a woman still being chaste to a certain degree.

I know of a guy that really loved a girl but dumped her when he found out she had slept with 2 of his friends, and they were even 2 brothers.
He said he tried salvaging his thoughts, but after the revelation he didn't just see her same way as he was even planning on marrying her. Even though she was a changed woman now.
