Actress Meg Otanwan Begins Shoot Of New Series 'Sisterly Speaking'

Award winning actress Meg Otanwa sets out to ask some serious questions and challenge the stereotypical gender-specific roles of the African woman, as she hits location to shoot the new series SISTERLY SPEAKING.

This will be the first major production for the Waka Star as a producer and content creator. Sisterly Speaking is directed by the celebrated filmmaker Umar Turaki, whose works have been celebrated and screened at the Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles and the Durban International Film Festival in South Africa, among others. 


"Sisterly Speaking" is a comedy-drama series that follows the eventful life of Ajoke Williams, an ambitious young Nigerian businesswoman. As she juggles business and love, she must learn to navigate the daily pressures of living in a patriarchal society that can be as ridiculous as it is vicious in its prejudice.


Sisterly Speaking features a blend of award winning actors and fresh talent: Meg Otanwa, Tunbosun Aiyedehin, Jimmy Odukoya, Ijeoma Aniebo, Rita Edward, Brutus Nfom Richard, Uche Nwaefuna and Sandra Iroegbu.
