Today is still a public holiday but not for all states in Germany.
I am off to a Morning Birthday party and I intend to have fun.....However work goes on so no shaking *wink*
So I was looking for a birthday gift to buy for my 30-something year old Niece in law and ended up buying something so cool....I went into a Chocolate shop and ordered for a basket and filled it up with different chocs...it was a small basket and the chocs are very expensive but i didn't check....just ordered for assorted chocs with exotic tastes and when i saw my bill,the Nigerian in me came out......
I mentally calculated the amount in Naira and rejected it in Jesus name.....Hehehehehehehehe
I ended up paying,bought a perfume and another bottle of Champagne and that's it.......Tips for a Birthday present huh?
I cant believe how fast the months ran..its like 50-something days to Christmas already!

So, I had this guy on my case. Good looks, fresh skin, nice ride, beautiful house with exquisite furnishing, working in one of the best Govt Parastatals so safe to say bank account on fleek...
ReplyDeleteSo, we went to see a movie Fast and Furious 6 or 7 (the one with the tribute to Paul Walker).
On getting to the mall, no parking space. Without exaggeration, You needed to wait for a car to leave before getting a space. So, we saw a security. After several minutes of begging, cracking (dry) jokes, prayers and sweet talks, he let us park in the lot for SILVERBIRD STAFF.
We came down, nice guy, lovely, very respectful. I decided we would tip him (at least me)
We got up, got our tickets and snack, we were owed 100naira to be collected after the movie.
We finished, got into the elevator (after plenty struggle) and when we got to the car park, seems we thought alike as I was getting my tip ready in my mind, he said "wow,I forgot to collect my change, and there is not change here to give this man, do you have change?" He said this while going thru his wallet which housed EXTRA CRIPSY 500 AND 1000 NAIRA NOTES.
So, I said no, I ddnt have, just give him what you have and he replied (with the biggest suprised face, maybe anger, a voice louder than normal etc) he said, 500? I ddnt know when I said, what's there, is he not worth more than that? But if you dont have, dont worry then....
Lemme explain before I'm eaten raw...
First off, this guy (my own guy), a minute ago was ready to buy me the whole silverbird. Repeatedly kept asking what I wanted but I Said no. Now, Standing before us was maybe a family man. Whose salary was definitely much more than 500 and was gon loose much more than 500 if he was fired. He risked his job to help us, why cant we help him too? and no, it wasnt a bribe, the security acted non challant. He just begged us to be fast. He was totally nice which we both admitted.
There are days I dont tip maybe cos I dont ve or my spirit doesn't want. I dont judge people who give even 50naira. But limiting a person to 100naira ddnt sit well with me as though it was Either 100 or nothing.
He ddnt mind spending tens of thousands on me at that point but not more than 100 on a security.
Well, I just said "since you dont have, you dont have to tip"
Well at the end of the day, he gave him 500 (maybe feeling ashamed). I almost wanted to flaunt the 1k I had long decided to tip the security but thats's not me so I sneakily gave the security mine..
It was far more disgusting than i'm saying it cos I noticed his reaction at every point and somehow, it pulled me back...
PLS PEOPLE, NEVER EVER LIMIT ANYONE! IF YOU ARE LED TO HELP, DO IT... IF YOU CANT, ITS OK TOO!!!
Mind you, a persons real character (kindness) is shown by how he)she treats someone he/she gains NOTHING from
I know of a married man that rented and furnished his side chick's house but his workers sleep on bench and on a worn out mat

DeleteYou can talk to him sha, if you guys become closer. I remember once a guy came to pick me on a date. When we got to that traffic light by four points, those lebanese children ran to us to beg. So, me I wound down and asked them to sing for me. They started singing and dancing. I was laughing and brought out 2k (500 each for 4 of them) to give them. If you see the way this guy tried to discourage me. That I am encouraging their parents to send them out to beg. I was like: okay. Maybe their parents are at fault but they are children for God's sake. Besides what can 2k do for me or you? (This na correct boy oh. Bad ass benz with a very good oil company job). The way i distributed the money ehn. I distributed plus the ones that came and joined them. Came to about 4500, before the light turned green.
He would later go silent for one week. Of course i sensed his quietness and didnt bother geting in touch. And call to say he sensed stubborness and frivolous spending that's why he was silent. But hes willing to overlook it for xxx reason. I told him that he should continue that his silence cos my own just started; and for me my ignore button is final.

Abeg, don't mind all the people cursing you out, some of them have done extremely worst in a most bizarre situation and some are still going to indulge in a similar rendezvous soon. That's Nigerians for you, I know of a lady on fb that curse out other ladies for sending their nudes to guys but I have quite a number of her nudes in my phone which she sent to me. She was so calm, so kind, so considerate and so beautiful. When things get so tough and I have nothing in the house, she would be the one I will run to. Though she doesn't sell food stuff, but she would see to it that I don't go home empty handed. And in order to make the food nutritious, she will now her own 'fish'. I've known her since my ND days, and up till few days ago, she was still my customer, and my oyibo. A name I gave her cos of her complexion'.

On the issue of Tithing, I Want to say thank You to Fabbie, Olivia Silk and Pure inspiration, I don't know why people need convincing to be able to pay tithe..... There's a difference between paying tithe and giving alms, giving money to the poor, widow, orphans, is giving alms and not paying tithe, God loves a cheerful giver, and there's so much blessing in giving! The Bible says "As long as the earth remaineth, seed time and harvest shall not cease"... Tithing is not by force,, giving is also not by force but no one should impose his/her belief in another..... A Catholic friend asked me about tithing and giving alms, I just told her to read her Bible, pray for the understanding and discernment, and do as she is convinced!!

ReplyDeleteA married woman left her 6 months old baby with her house help to meet her old time abroad base ex,who just returned to the country.
When the husband came back expectedly from his rig work,asked the house help where the wife had gone to.The help couldn't give him a good answer, as the baby was crying so much. And the help had exhausted all she could do to pacify the baby to stop crying.
The hubby got angry and went out to hunt for the wife!
Lo and behold, see the dear wife enjoying and laughing loud with her ex in a beer parlour... Chai! come see drama.People gathered.

ReplyDeleteAs for yesterday's IHN, Make them freeze dey there dey argue about tithe. This year I started giving 15%, and according to some people I now lie that i get promoted every 2 months 😂😂 some months I would feel like that extra 5% can change my life *side eye @lucifer* But I stayed committed to my vow. And to say God surprised me is no joke. Last night, i checked and everything on my list has already been ticked (Okay, apart from my baby pink Range Rover 😂 I think that kinda went to Toke actually, even though the entry route might be different from mine when I asked😁) I found myself writing my new list for 2018, cos theres nothing else to challenge me for the year (literally 🙄). God is truly not a liar. He meant it when he said 'put me to test and see if I will not open the windows of heaven and pour unto you a blessing, so much that there would be no more need' (Mal. 3:10) Note: no more NEED.
Anyway, my leave starts today 💃💃 Amo be in and out of touch. So miss me not 💃💃 But I'd be bringing as much fabus as often as I can. Stay tuned! 👌
