Awareness of Cesarean Section (CS)
Dear Stella,
I don't know where you will place or post this. The ignorance of so many women (Husbands and Wives) losing their lives through child birth is appalling. As am typing this message, i am boiling with anger. A friend trying to conceive (TTC) for the pass five years just lost her life and that of the baby due to ignorance, church believe, mothers and mothers in-law believe that having a child through CS is a taboo.
I suggest our mothers with their low mentality should be given awareness and churches should stop deceiving their members with the preaching of delivering like an Hebrew Woman..... I don't know how this is going to be done but it needs to be done. Women and children are dying everyday out of their stupidity and useless believe that is been doubted. A faith that they cannot defend.
Please Stella, use your blog and all other means that you can to create awareness. This Awareness must be created to the young, old, men, churches etc.

This is someone that her daughter has had 3 csections. Why didn't she tell her daughter to refuse and ignore doctors advise?
I just think a lot of people are evil apart from being ignorant. Why would I want to go against my doctors advise just to prove a point that I gave birth like the Hebrew woman and to impress who exactly ?? Are they stupid to just want to cut me open for no reason ?
Anyway, nobody has any control over my life. It is my baby, my csection, my injury. The most important thing is for mother and child to be alive and well.

I was chatting my pastors wife and she told me not to resist. That they need to save the baby. My husband didn't even think twice before signing.
Thank God we are fine. CS is just another way of delivery and nothing to be ashamed of. Both CS and vaginal, both women have babied

ReplyDeleteI gave birth through CS and it lies majorly in the woman's hand because I have seen women say they can never allow it and even quote bible on top.
ReplyDeleteWhile I was pregnant, hubby said we should register for NHIS just in case of CS so we won't be paying much, I rejected it believing everything will be fine lol my people Scan gave me 12 and 15 of the month I was to give birth but I started feeling this lower waist pain from the 1st.On 2nd I went to see my doctor he examined me and told me to go home and come back we left there on 3rd I went to work as usual and this pain has increase its intensity hmmmm by 10am after each contraction water will follow I excused myself from work called hubby and he came to pick me I told him to take me to his mums place and I was there till 4pm because according to what i read on babycenter I feel my contractions were not consistent. Anyway, by 4pm we left for the hospital and I was checked in in fact the junior Dr on duty told me I will birth before 8pm we were glad to hear that and hubby went home to bring baby's bag and flask.
The Dr left by 6 and the senior Dr came later in the evening all this while the water was coming after each contractions o when the Senior Dr came he checked me and left.
My mil was with me encouraging me that was how I begin to check time o nothing happened no feeling to poo I was there hubby had started crying he had to call my parent because I told him we will only call them to give them the good news because my mum can fear plus she's hypertensive and we don't live in the same state, they prayed for me over the phone and I just gave hubby my phone that I don't want to receive nay more calls because my elder sisters were already calling too.
My people, by mid night I told my mil i want CS she said noooooo God forbid that she gave birth herself for her 6children I just said okay I asked to see hubby I told himy mind he said 'if that is what will take away all this pain, he is okay with it'.Dr came in around 3am and he checked me again and said I was just in 1cm ha! upon all this contractions that was how CS was done o plus he said my pelvic is small.
Maybe subsequent ones will be elective CS I can't shout,the joy my baby brought to my home plus his big wide grin I don't even remember my pains.

Anonn 14:23 lagos and Abuja are expensive to stay in terms of accommodations, schools, etc. Abuja is good because you wont be stressed like Lagos. If i am to say, I will think Lagos is better. The struggle is real. The stress is too real, can you cope? How old is your children if they can cope, then you too can cope.
