The Ogoni Leaders Of Tomorrow Are Suffering.

This Memo was written by Lexy Mueka on Facebook after a visit to the Government craft development centre Bori.....

''Dear Commissioner for Education,
This is Government Craft Development Centre Bori. A school meant to teach its pupils with skills and talent in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical etc abandoned in Ogoniland. 

I and my crew paid an unscheduled visit to the school after series of complains from students and parents of the school and this is what we saw and found out. 

1. Most lecturers have been transferred from the school without a replacement.

2. In a whole week pupils are privileged to lectures once or twice if lucky. 

3. Pupils are not privileged to study the practicals aspect of the courses they chose to learn as there are no workshops still alive in the premises. 

4. Only the Vice Principal who himself said has made all efforts to get the state Government attention through the local government authorities in charge of the school to allocate teachers back to the school but all efforts in vain

.
5. That rotten scattered rusted 1974 Land rover jeep in the pics below is what those in mechanical sees as a practical tool and that's the workshop.

While combating crimes in Ogoniland we should also look for it root courses.
Does anyone expect this children to waste 3 whole years learning nothing and still be useful to our society?

Why will a Government waste so much resources in training criminals, rapists and militants, sending them abroad to acquire skills and abandon the peaceful youths and a centre that can also impact same knowledge to our non violent children. 

Is it because the school is in Ogoniland so it can rust for all the care?
The Ogoni political class who haven't seen this and many more abandoned facilities as a problem and their responsibility should simply hide their faces in shame. 

More than 6 CTC chairpersons have come and gone under this present Administration and they drive passed this school to their Chairman lodge everyday without giving it an afterthought. It's so painful. 

Please let's share and pass this message until it gets to the appropriate channels. This Ogoni leaders of tomorrow are suffering.
