Singer Niniola Discloses Her Chipped Tooth Embarrassed Her For A Long While

Afro-house Nigerian Singer Niniola Apata has not in any way allowed her chipped tooth to deter her from smiling. She is always putting up a huge smile most times.

However, during a chat with Saturday Beats, she mentioned that it took her a long while to get comfortable with her dentition.

The soulful singer said that she chipped the tooth while playing with her younger brother when she was in JSS2 and when it happened she was so embarrassed she wanted to ‘kill’ herself.

I chipped my tooth when I was in JSS2. I remember it was in the house and my elder brother was playing with my cousin and he was pouring water on her. He said he also wanted to pour water on me so while I was running away from him, screaming with my mouth wide open, I fell down and saw my chipped tooth on the floor. It was on a Sunday and I had to go to school the next day. I wanted to kill myself because I did not know how I would face my school mates the next day.

Coincidentally, there was a school mate of mine in the house who had come to see my cousin, so she explained everything that happened. I had planned that the next day I would not talk so much in school but to my surprise when I got to school, everybody was talking about my chipped tooth; that girl had gone to spread the news. I was embarrassed and it took me a while to get used to it. My mother even told me to get it fixed but I refused and I told her I wasn’t ready.

    7. She need is in an entertainment Industry. If I'm her handler, i wouldn't let her take a picture with her teeth looking like this on a cover. Truth is bitter but as an entertainer,is all about "the whole package". Reason why those men workout to have crazy abs

    8. I don't think any magazine Publisher will put her on the cover of a mainstream magazine with a teeth like hers. She is in a showbiz business. Is calling an entertaining/make believe business for a reason

Maybe you need to talk to a Publisher in Nigeria to put someone with a chipped teeth on their cover. Deceitful people. Niyola you are a beautiful girl but please get a good Dentist to fix your chipped teeth for you as a showgirl

  5. I have a chipped tooth too..right when I was 12 years. I even get compliments from it. Most people say they love it coupled with my dimple and lovely smile. Not that it was even a bother for me self..I have never felt embarrassed or have confidence issues as a result of the chipped tooth.

  7. She's pretty, CardiB had similar dentition and fixed it along the line. Nini, your chipped tooth doesn't make you any less talented.

You will be amazed at the amount of local and international artists have one defect or the other on their body.

If it still makes you uncomfortable, then fix it. If not, rock it with swag 😊😊😊

    1. You talking from your ass. You said it that CardiB fixed her teeth? She did because as an entertainer you need to have the whole package. You need to be more appealing and not with an ugly looking chipped teeth. I can understand with a regular person but not with someone in entertainment industry

  8. In as much as i would like her to get it fixed, it wouldn't change anything, she's still a talent and pretty all the same, she can leave it and let it be her signature like own Wilson the American actor with a broken nose. However, i would like her to do another genre of music, contemporary maybe, i feel her vocals are top notch and she has a lot more to offer.

  9. I have a broken front tooth. It has made me so uncomfortable. Tried fixing it last year. Scan revealed it isn't a broken tooth but my milk tooth that never fell off, I could even see the permanent tooth under it. The procedure's to fix it too much abeg, a consultant dentist even said it will take 2years above as they have to be pulling it out gradually after removing the milk tooth. I just left it abeg, so many other things are needed. But honestly, its not easy. I am always too conscious of smiling n laughing

    1. Just pull that out and ask for crowning with implants. All should cost less than 100k. My daughter has the same problem,we had to pull out the milk tooth, her permannent tooth just came out after so many years, and now we are in the process of crowning cos of the size.
