One of the PSquare music duo, Paul Okoye, has again blamed his twin brother, Peter, for the group’s break up.
According to Premium Times, Paul stated this while performing solo during Sunday night’s Phynofest music carnival at ‘The Cathedral’, Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium Enugu.
The convener of the show and rap king, Phyno, had after performing his popular duet with Olamide ‘Fada Fada’ alone apologised for the ‘Wo’ crooner’s absence in this year’s show.
"But I have a surprise for you", he told the disappointed crowd.
He then started his collaboration song with Psquare, ‘Financial Woman,’ at which point Paul, who now goes by the stage name Rudeboy, joined him on stage to sing the song’s chorus.
At the end, Paul in response to questions from the crowd on the whereabouts of his brother replied that Peter was in America and burst into laughter.
Paul would go on to perform a few of the group’s old songs but the crowd kept asking him about the whereabouts of his brother Peter.
At a point, he stopped the singing to reply to their questions and he blamed his brother for their break up.
Paul who spoke to the crowd in Igbo language said his brother’s desire to embark on personal talent discovery led to the break up of the group.
''We were singing together when my brother said he wants to go and discover his talent. I had no choice. But guess what, I have my brand new song titled Fire Fire,” Paul told the crowd before singing the song released last week.
He also performed another new song, Nkenji Keke, and other Psquare songs before leaving the stage.
*And the other half said he wasnt responsible for the nreak up either

Paul can you shut the f**k up and face your career. I hate it when adults don't like owning up to their messed up. The deed is done already, both party should stop heaping blames on the other person rather they should both share the blame equally for the break up of the group. I love the peace we enjoy now biko, not today they're together tomorrow they've gone solo. Enough already. Both of them should continue to sing solo and let's watch who becomes who in the next 5 yes.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you for this comment !!!

DeleteThe two of them are childish and they are all to be blame.... I don't support anyone of them... Paul you man/child, please you and your silly twin should gerrout of my face!
ReplyDeleteAnd you have plenty sense bah? Ekute ile
DeleteTheir problems started from when Paul's songs were more favored than Peter's songs. It is always better to treat twins equally if you don't want envy, jealousy and enmity. If they both present their songs, Pual's songs were more favored. not just that, Paul is an alpha and even i their videos it shows. How do you think Peter would feel if you were in his shoes, they just wanted him to accept whatever they did and said. No equality in the group. when there is an issue, Paul claimed to be the brain beyond the group and Peter felt like an outsider.
ReplyDeleteSo i think going to discover his talent isn't wrong. there is nothing like freedom. It can only work out between them when Paul sees him as an equal partner. Since Paul sees himself like the talent, he shouldn't have any issue picking up at all. He has no right to be angry at Peter too. If anything, Peter should be the one afraid, as he is just venturing out by himself for the first time and i think he is doing great.
...and who do u think caused those feelings... Unku Jude..I been hail o! Me I like Peter sha, to me he's a man
ReplyDeletePaul should get over it already and move on. life continues.
ReplyDeleteAll 3 brothers involved should learn to take responsibility for their actions, period. That's the adult thing to do. Also, let's not drink Panadol for them. These guys are mega rich so they don't really need 'Psquare' to make money. Cos they have already blown and have investments and endorsements. This Mr P and rude boy thingy is just a side hustle to them, that's why they agreed to finally split now. More like a thing to do as they retire from active music, which to me is not a bad thing. People should let them be. Peter wants a chance to try new sounds. Paul wants to stick to his known beats. This way everybody is a boss and nobody feels left out. Throwing pure water on them while performing is a no no.
ReplyDeleteAnd the other will blame him
