Kadiri’s appearance as the celebrity guest and her role in officially unveiling ROBAZ Entertainment at an event recently held at Oriental Hotel underscores her belief and interest in the Nigerian music industry. Nigeria Music industry is arguable the most competitive in Africa with high ranking stars with thrilling tunes and beats. So much talent abounds in the industry and every day, new artistes and music labels are born.
The amazing avalanche of different genres of musician that keep over 150 million Nigerian entertained is not enough as we see new inspired artistes who break into the market because in the Nigerian music industry, your vibe sets you out. To midwife new artistes with new sensibilities, ROBAZ Entertainment was launched recently at Oriental Hotel Lagos.
ROBAZ Entertainment is the brainchild of Robor Philip Asiotu, a Dubai-based business mogul whose notion of music is to tell stories using inventions and styles while tapping into our cultural milieu. Most importantly, the brand places premium on live performances as the artistes signed by the label are talented singers and live band performers. ROBAZ Entertainment was unveiled by Nollywood actress, Ruth Kadiri, and Wazobia FM OAP, Igos, during a world press conference held recently at Oriental Hotel, Lagos.
Speaking about it, highly rated comedian, actor, musicologist and Airtel brand ambassador, Monkals, who’s also RE’s manager, said, “This conference is the first of its kind in Nigeria. Not only will we present RE’s first signed music artist, Martinz Ega, he’ll also perform with a live band to prove the stuff he’s made of.” True to Monkals’ words, Ega gave a good account of himself with a scintillating performance that left no doubt he’s prepared to take on the music industry.
Speaking further, Monkals said Robaz Entertainment is not into music only, but movies and events as well. “We’re starting out with the record label arm of Robaz Entertainment first, and Martinz Ega is our first artist that we’re pushing out to the world. But we’re also into movies and we’ll come out with a movie soon.
Philip Robor Asiotu, CEO, Robaz Entertainment said he established Robaz Entertainment to give back to the society having succesfully done business in Nigeria for a long time.
“I don’t want to talk too much, but I’ll say Robaz Entertainment is here to set the standard and let our actions speak for us. You’ve seen Martinz Ega perform. He has a message, lots of things to tell the people and we’ll support him fully to do that. That way, he’ll make timeless music which is our desire.”

Robaz...... sounds like the name of a local strip club in Agbor. She could have done better with the name mbok!!
