Actor Yul Edochie Reacts To Being Left Out of Anambra 2017 Gubernatorial Debate

Nigerian actor cum politician and flagbearer of Democratic People’s Congress(DPC), Yul Edochie, has reacted to being left out of Anambra Gubernatorial debate organized by Channels TV for the Governorship candidates, held on Sunday.

Only 5 leading candidates participated in the debate: Mr Tony Nwoye of the All Progressives Congress (APC); incumbent governor, Mr Willie Obiano, of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Mr Oseloka Obaze of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Godwin Ezeemo of the Progressives People’s Alliance (PPA) and Mr Osita Chidoka of the United Progressive Party (UPP).

The actor who is still optimistic about winning regardless of the debate outcome tweeted:

I wasn’t invited to the debate. But its nothing to worry about. We’ll keep the spirit high and keep campaigning. Its time for the masses to have a say. November 18th, stand with me, the future is in our hands''.

I wonder why they did not invite him......Channels TV why?

    2. I agree with you 100%.From the debate. OBAZE knows his Onions and I fell in love with him. He has a clear cut idea of what he wants to deliver. Willy was under pressure.I guess he gets angry easily. Anyway, I enjoyed the debate.

    1. BS Krix, which one is mate there now.

Everyone should be given a chance irrespective of status.

    2. Lipstick, mate here do not refer to status or age but experience. Those five there has been in politics and know the onions of politics but he? He made up his mind to run for governorship when the bill for 'not too young to run' was passed.

And for the record, he wasn't the only one not invited. Governorship aspirants are about 10 or more than. And I think for you to be invited, they have to go through your qualifications( education, politics, administration et al) just like screening to know if u are worth listening to.

Meanwhile, Yul should go and rest. He is still a toddler. We don't want young and naive to rule us, that is what many youths mistook for not too young to run bill. This bill didn't give a warranty to every young person to come to power.

If u want to venture into politics, start building up ur political muscle early.

  5. He should hold his people responsible. Channels TV conducted a poll on candidates that should be invited and Yul didn't make the cut. Of course, we all know it is near impossible to have all the candidates at the same time.

Ifeanyi uba have joined Apga too, he will be rounding off his campaign for Willie today at ifeanyi uba stadium here in nnewi. I'm sure Willie promised to put him in that office come next 4yrs. Naija politicians I hail oh. This election should come and go biko, lemme hear word. 1. Godfatherism is the sole reason why 9ja has refused to move forward.

He should have been given a chance Sandy, odirokwa nma @ all

    3. Sandy Yo, I expected his father to advise him better. And it's Naija politics that have made godfatherism a thing of the negative. Other nations run politics and in a way, you have someone experienced that should guide you. The normal word for it is 'mentor' right? Because u can't venture into anything without having a back up.
Why is godfatherism in Nigeria a taboo to the ear?

    4. Great Lady, lets move experience, godfatherism and all out of the way.

They should have done the debate in stages and sieved out the non performers, the final stage will now be aired live.

We should say no to godfatherism because they are the ones who end up messing the candidates up with their ridiculous demands.

Candidates can't carry out their functions properly because a godfather has not signed off on it
