Nigerian actor cum politician and flagbearer of Democratic People’s Congress(DPC), Yul Edochie, has reacted to being left out of Anambra Gubernatorial debate organized by Channels TV for the Governorship candidates, held on Sunday.
Only 5 leading candidates participated in the debate: Mr Tony Nwoye of the All Progressives Congress (APC); incumbent governor, Mr Willie Obiano, of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Mr Oseloka Obaze of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Godwin Ezeemo of the Progressives People’s Alliance (PPA) and Mr Osita Chidoka of the United Progressive Party (UPP).
The actor who is still optimistic about winning regardless of the debate outcome tweeted:
I wasn’t invited to the debate. But its nothing to worry about. We’ll keep the spirit high and keep campaigning. Its time for the masses to have a say. November 18th, stand with me, the future is in our hands''.

I wonder why they did not invite him......Channels TV why?
Hmmmm.....i was thinking aloud why he didn't come? Channels TV needs to state their reason for not inviting him..
ReplyDeleteIf i have the opportunity to be in an Anambra, I will vote for pdp.
DeleteThat man is intelligent, I enjoyed the debate.
I agree with you 100%.From the debate. OBAZE knows his Onions and I fell in love with him. He has a clear cut idea of what he wants to deliver. Willy was under pressure.I guess he gets angry easily. Anyway, I enjoyed the debate.
DeleteClearly he's not a leading candidate
DeleteHow could they have? Was that an oversight from the debate organizers?
ReplyDeleteYul ur mate is not there, before they say u are insulting elders.
ReplyDeleteExactly my thoughts.
DeleteBS Krix, which one is mate there now.
DeleteEveryone should be given a chance irrespective of status.
#notfair
Lipstick, mate here do not refer to status or age but experience. Those five there has been in politics and know the onions of politics but he? He made up his mind to run for governorship when the bill for 'not too young to run' was passed.
DeleteAnd for the record, he wasn't the only one not invited. Governorship aspirants are about 10 or more than. And I think for you to be invited, they have to go through your qualifications( education, politics, administration et al) just like screening to know if u are worth listening to.
Meanwhile, Yul should go and rest. He is still a toddler. We don't want young and naive to rule us, that is what many youths mistook for not too young to run bill. This bill didn't give a warranty to every young person to come to power.
If u want to venture into politics, start building up ur political muscle early.
Yup, dey said u still dey wear pampers, go call mummy to clean up after you. Lol
DeleteHahahaha. Apostle must hear this @Krix
DeleteThat’s to tell you the Nigerian class culture. It will only get worse.
ReplyDeleteHe should hold his people responsible. Channels TV conducted a poll on candidates that should be invited and Yul didn't make the cut. Of course, we all know it is near impossible to have all the candidates at the same time.
ReplyDeleteStory!!! We know how fraudulent everything in Nigeria is
DeleteConducted which which poll after they have all paid 1.8m each, where did you expect Yul to get the money from.
DeleteI would have loved to hear from him. Channels TV, any cogent reason for leaving him out?
ReplyDeleteLMAO 😁,I haven't seen his poster here in nnewi
ReplyDeleteStella the people that are involved in this election is Willie and Tony Nwoye, trust me. Even pdp is stylishly supporting Willie. Ifeanyi uba have joined Apga too, he will be rounding off his campaign for Willie today at ifeanyi uba stadium here in nnewi. I'm sure Willie promised to put him in that office come next 4yrs. Naija politicians I hail oh. This election should come and go biko, lemme hear word. We wake up every morning to the sound of campaign megaphone and speakers, somebody cannot sleep 💤 in peace again...hian!!
LOL! Pele nu. I ga e votu kwa? Learnt Tony Nwoye is pulling some serious weight there. O ga dikwa kpor kpor this coming weekend.
Deleteamanda favour... Willie for the win 😀
DeleteVote keh? Odiegwu!
DeleteI'll just buy enough fuel to power my gen, read SDK blog and watch movies with my family all day. Our votes don't count so I won't bother my pretty head...hehehe. My husband will go though...
Yes oh Isaacson,Willie for the win. Willie is working
DeleteTony for the win.
DeleteI wish him all the best.
ReplyDeleteYour comment will be visible after approval
Wrong not to have invited him as we don't have only 5 political parties in Nigeria
ReplyDeleteGuy go siddon u think say na film dem dey act der. D elite class cn never allow u win. Niaja is too corrupt
ReplyDeleteWhat does he expect when he just dambled into politricks laik that without 'godfathers'. Hehehe!
ReplyDeleteHe should just jejely join and support d winning party so as to get a position at d end of d day and start from there..
Godfatherism is the sole reason why 9ja has refused to move forward.
DeleteHe should have been given a chance Sandy, odirokwa nma @ all
Lipstick, I know o but it is what it is.😁
DeleteSandy Yo, I expected his father to advise him better. And it's Naija politics that have made godfatherism a thing of the negative. Other nations run politics and in a way, you have someone experienced that should guide you. The normal word for it is 'mentor' right? Because u can't venture into anything without having a back up.
DeleteWhy is godfatherism in Nigeria a taboo to the ear?
Great Lady, lets move experience, godfatherism and all out of the way.
DeleteThey should have done the debate in stages and sieved out the non performers, the final stage will now be aired live.
We should say no to godfatherism because they are the ones who end up messing the candidates up with their ridiculous demands.
Candidates can't carry out their functions properly because a godfather has not signed off on it
Nwanna no vex you hear, you will be fine last last.
ReplyDeleteLolll....Ada, this ur comment is indirectly saying "Go and sit down my friend"....hahaha
Deletewhy will they do that nau?
ReplyDeletena wa for this country oh...
political godfather's everywhere.
Yul Nwanna putaba, inugo?
ReplyDeleteMmeri gi siri ike. Afuro m ka iWINi.
Mmeri gi siri ike.....Chike, mmeri ya e ru ghi 30%
DeleteNa wa. Dont worry, you will win from the back
ReplyDeletei asked this question when i didnt see him, dey for invite him biko.
ReplyDeleteAbi ?
DeleteMay be he didn't qualify to be among them
DeleteEverything in Nigeria is money,

18th should come and go let's hear word.
