Stella that wasn't enough ooo...,the kind of cut they gave me is out of this world! My ponyor has been in greatest pain since 26th September that I gave birth.

THE WIFE DEBTOR

So I got a call from a close cousin sometime ago. She was crying on the phone telling me that her husband had taken a few of his things and left the house. She had called and begged him to no avail, so she decided to involve the family. Husband was invited to a family meeting by an uncle here and we all were present.

The husband, let's call him Mr K started narrating what happened. His wife had on several occasions disrespected him and disgraced him in the presence of neighbours, she was stubborn and disobedient. Whenever he complained, Mrs K would talk back at him and remind him that he was still owing part of her marriage rites in the village.

She would proceed to call him a 'wife debtor'. Hahahahahaha

Let me tell you how Mr K became a 'wife debtor'.

In my place, a typical marriage list consists of several sections enshrined in  three full pages of A4 paper. When calculated in cash, it runs into almost a million naira. Among the things contained in this list are a brand new  motorcycle for bride's mum(formerly bicycle), a briefcase for bride's dad, clothes, shoes and wristwatch for bride's dad, clothes, shoes, handbags, jewelries for bride's mum, a big box containing clothes, shoes, hand bags, jewelries, purses, etc for bride, tens of crates of beer, tens of gallons of local gin(kaikai), tens of gallons of palm wine, tens of gallons of palm oil, bags of rice, tubers of yam, one big female goat, etc. Cash of 50k, 50k, 40k, 30k and so on for bride's parents(dead or alive). Grandparents(dead or alive), village youths and village elders, hehehehehe.

Mr K is from another part of the country, a place where marriage rites is very cheap. So when he and his people saw the list, he wanted to back out, his pocket was screaming 'his village' but he loved this pretty cousin of mine hahahahaha.

 The bride's mum, not wanting to become a laughing stock, called him and his people to one corner and told them that he can negotiate with the elders and perform the rites in bits(section by section) and that he should ask for the most important section, bride price inclusive and clear it, after which he would be free to go home with his wife. Then overtime, he would clear the remaining ones. He was also told that he can bargain and beat down the cash and quantity of the items.

So Mr K did as he was advised, settled part of the marriage rites and took home his wife. Five years down the line with 2kids, the 'gbese' is still there waiting for him in the village. Elders called him from time to time to remind him. Wife too was always bragging that he married her on credit hahahahahaha.

Well, Mr K is still adamant, he said he is no longer interested in the marriage. Kawai!

My  Experience with  men of the night.

It was last week Wednesday night ,i was just on my way home from where i attended a church program after work just few mins past 8pm.
There was no bus ,crowd everywhere . I began to ask questions as to why there were no buses and much crowd at that time of the night.


My self and my colleague had to trek from Eko Hotel Round About to Adeola Odeku,as we approach a particular junction,this car just parked and was calling Oshodi ,so we quickly jumped inside and immediately they drove off, less than 2mins the atmosphere changed.

The two guys in the car(Driver and another guy in front) were dressed in corporate such that one would think they were just returning from work too.
The driver started saying girls actually we are not what you think we are ,we are out here to do business . All you need do is to corporate with us and we promise not to harm you.

Close your eyes ,bring your bags ,this time our hands were tied and mouths covered
then he said you will just give us 20k each, when i heard 20k each in my mind i said thank God it is just 20k  .Unknown to me that  they just said that to calm us down.

Long story short..All phones ,Atm cards with pins and every valuable items in the bag even the earring and wristwatch we were wearing was taken.
Finally they stopped somewhere on a bridge and asked us to get out quietly but if we disobeyed

they will shoot us.so we did as instructed.
I went to the bank the following day and discovered my account empty.Nevertheless i thank for life.

I lost 145K plus 4k cash in my purse.small gold earring and a designer(DKNI) wristwatch 2 phones.

Please dont move around with any Atm card you have much money in.
