      In simple English;half(1/2) is the same as 0.5..

      Divide 30 by 0.5 and you get 60..

      60 + 10=70

      What am i even saying?? kikikikiki..

      You can only solve it your way using calculator.
      If you are to show all workings you must convert it from decimal to fraction.
      Eg: 0.5 to fraction.
      The decimal place in 0.5 is 1(that is the number of digits after the decimal point). Then add 1 zero to the figure 1 to get 10.
      Solution
      0.5 = 5/10
      5/10 = 1/2

    30÷1/2=
    30/1 x 2/1=
    30x2=60
    Add 10 to the answer
    60 + 10= 70

    If you want to understand it very well
    Then let me explain it.
    Any whole number is equal to that number over one. Eg: 10= 10/1 ; 20=20/1; 1=1/1; 30=30/1(that's how I got 30/1 in the equation.
    You can not divid using the sign of division(÷). So you have to change it to multiplication sign(x) and once you change the sign from ÷ to x the fraction will turn upside down (that's how 1/2 changed to 2/1.
    30÷1/2=
    30/1 x 2/1=
    30x2=60
    Add 10 to the answer
    60 + 10= 70
    Stella the answer is 70 not 25

    Half of 30 is 15. Dividing 30 by 15 is 2.

      Emeka the question is "divid 30 by half" the word half means 1/2 or 0.5. Just the way pie sign{)(} = 22/7 or 3.14.

      You can only get your answer if the question is "divid 30 by its half"
