If you are good with people you could be in their customer service or marketing. You have to apply for what you like. But if you are willing to just take anything don't complain when you end up in a department you don't like.
DeleteBe specific about the department you want to be employed into. If you don't have any preference, you can include that you can work in any of the departments. Application is not just dropping your CV na. Attach a letter to your CV. That's how I applied when I sought employment in a hotel

It's from her that I got the obsession for orderliness. And I am still that girl.
I rarely use dusting powder now.
But I still sing and arrange things that are not scattered. Arranging things gives me peace.
It gives me hope. I know that if I keep the little things that I have well, when they become many, I'll able to manage them.
Some of us cannot go to sleep until dirty plates in the sink are washed, or at worst arranged neatly...I cannot stand disorder.

DeleteThe man may be checking the notes to be sure they're not counterfeit. A man withdrew money from an ATM in Calabar and did that counting simulation. When asked by some curious peeps, he said he'd lost 10k from counterfeit currency he got from an ATM and has since decided to confirm before leaving. Guess what? He saw two counterfeit notes and had to plead that we all join him in the banking hall as he's going to report cos the last time, he was told there was nothing they could do. He went in and that's what the customer care person said. That there's no way to verify it's actually money he got from the machine. Bear in mind that all ATMs have cameras for this and many other reasons, so it should have been a matter of verifyinb if he actually used the machine cos we could vouch that he hadn't put his hand in his pockets. After dragging the issue and the manager had to come down, the man got his 2k back. I was happy with Nigerians that day cos no one complained about having to be elsewhere. In conclusion, yes, it is trust issues but it may not be cos he's counting the money but cos he's verifying the notes. Lol

Stella please post, so yesterday at the church after midweek service, this young girl walk up to me and said, aunty can i talk to you? I was confused but i told her let's find somewhere to sit & talk. Stella she told me she just finished secondary school this year & just clocked 17yrs on 10th July but as am seeing her now, she's getting married on 4th & 11th of Nov for her trad & church wedding respectively to a 36yrs old man. She said is her mother that is pushing her, that her father died when she was just 5yrs. That they have been suffering since then, she's doing all kinds of job to make sure she finished sec school & want to go to the university to study pharmacy but her mum wants her to marry due to lack of fund to train her & her husband to be is rich & can take care of her family but she didn't love the man but her mum told her with time she will start loving him. She was crying seriously and told me she plans to run away but don't know anyone to run to, that she's ready to work for anyone & save money for her university education. The thing now is that she's begging me to accept her, I pity her but am confused here, how can i take someone's daughter without her parent consent? Isn't that kidnapping? I'm ready to find her work in my office, even as a receptionist or cleaner with accommodation (one room shared by two staff) but how do i convince her mother that this girl want to go to school not marry after all the dates are fixed. My heart is so heavy right now 😢😢

A short form is supposed to be shorter than what it is replacing, so how is "kk" shorter than "ok"? If a young person had sent "kk" me, I would have probably ignored or tried to educate the person. What can I do when the sender is my 74 year old uncle?! I am hoping I can still remind him of his foreign teacher's teaching of English language. ReplyDeleteWhenever I try to handle issues with people, I'm usually told to ignore and overlook cos its not necessary this and that. 'God will handle it'.
Last week, two friends wronged me so badly. I was listening to the voice in my head telling me to overlook so I stayed contained - even though i knew that they were trying to play mind games with me. Over the weekend, two other people complained about their attitudes on two different issues. And I was like: really? So they're rolling stones?
On Monday, I told myself: before the end of this week I will put these people on a hot seat. Either of them will not try that nonsense with me and feel they have won.
By yesterday when I had cooked my retaliation currency and had it fully paid, I had to switch my phone off halfway through my day. It was ringing with apologies from all ends of the world. And I was like: so these people know they wronged me and they know how to handle it the right way, and they pretended on purpose??!!
But why are people like this? Knowingly repaying good with evil. Let me see what they come up with today. But this is the last straw of bullshit I'm having from so-called friends. I can't change the world but I will treat bullshit one dishing at a time. Clear my corner 😎 Yeye Lagos people! As if they're the only ones who eat smarties. Shioor!

We were made to recite this poem by an uncle who told not to eat much, that we would turn so ugly and unwanted if we fed like the Vulture. In retrospect, he does this when he wants to have a sumptuous meal. Smh Uncle N. Children are so easy to ‘deceive’. You just have to be creative.
