Word For Today - Let Them Go!

Think about this....

A lady wrote to me broken, hurting bitterly. She had sacrificed so much for her boyfriend, giving her everything to make the relationship work, even loosing her self esteem in the process. In spite of these, the man still walked away!

She strongly believes something is wrong with her because the men don't stay. After they've had enough sex and exploited her kindness, they bolt!

Now let me state this clearly; If anybody wants to walk out of your life, LET THEM GO! As long as you are sure you have given your best, let them go! The more you try too hard to keep them, the more you hurt yourself.

No relationship will ever reach its apex with lopsided love. Caring too much about someone who doesn't deserve it will choke your happiness! Care is an investment that demands reciprocity!

Don't let the fear of uncertainty to keep you 'prison stuck' in misery!

Most of the people who left you in tears, few years from now you will be glad they left!

Have you ever stumbled into your ex after several years and you're like, "what in the world was I thinking dating this person?"

The truth is; Though it didn't feel good to be jilted, it was for your own good that they left. They had to leave for better people to come.

Some people come into your life for a season, some come for a lifetime. You must know the difference. Frustration sets in when you give LIFETIME expectations to SEASONAL people!

Seasonal people come into your life to teach you something and walk away. If you spend the rest of your life with them, you may catch hell all your life. It's been said that if you force your way in, you may cry your way out!

Friend, learn to enjoy your own company. Do something to make yourself happy. Placing your happiness in the hands of people is you giving them so much power!

Don't get too scared of loneliness that you accommodate the wrong people!

  4. Just let them go!! I have never regretted loving anybody and when the do leave the always always find out the difference and want to come back. But it's my principle,no second chance because if it was rosy on the other side you wouldn't know my worth. Hence I stick that person that loved me blindly. In every relationship ensure you gave your best and be certain he/she can't find another like you that way you wouldn't feel hurt or betrayed. I have never been heart broken because I anticipate very move and I read people well. If you can love not to impress but to be happy then you wouldn't feel so hurt when they leave.

  5. "After they've had enough sex they bolt . . ."
What else did they come for?
Wasn't it the girl that gave them sex?
Why not close your legs and let them pay bride price first?

    2. Paying bride price will not guarantee them staying. You probably need to see the statistics of divorce in the generation.

  6. i dated a girl 4 years ago and she wanted us to marry not minding the fact that i was still living with my parents, she loved and believed in me but i couldn't imagine getting married in my parents house, it is a taboo. the best i could do was to break up with her, you guys won't believe that she refused to move on. 2 years after our break up, i met with her and even took her out, we talked about so many things, she even told me she was engaged and i was happy to hear that and also know she has moved on, after that day we went our separate ways. one year later i met her in my friend's introduction, we exchanged pleasantries, the next thing she did was to start blaming me for her singleness, that by now me and her ought to have been married, i was bewildered and didn't say anything, i left her to sit with my friends. later that day one of her friend came to tell me to avoid her that she's very bitter and could kill me if she get the chance to, na so i run comot for the intro o. this year i got married and the hatred raised to power 100. to cut the story short she has finally tie the knot last week, am i safe now?

Bye dear friend, I'm letting you go not cause I don't care but cause you're too self centred to think of anyone but you.

  13. Self love is one important attribute we all should learn to cultivate. When you love yourself so much, no one can treat you like s**t, you just give them the middle finger and hit the road. Good advice Amos
