Some journalists, former Secretary to the Oyo State Government, Sharafadeen Alli, were among those who escaped death while the shooting lasted.
Four gunmen in a black Toyota Sienna opened fire sporadically around 11:45am, shattering Alli’s car’s glass windows and other cars parked in front of the palace. The operation lasted for about 10 minutes until the gunmen sped off towards Molete end of Popoyemoja.
Alli, who is the Asaju Balogun Olubadan of Ibadan land, was also lucky, as he was inside the car when bullets hit his car.
The shooting, however, did not stop the coronation inside the palace.

God will not allow Ajimobi to turn Ibadan into a battle field, I'm suspecting the man is seriously under a very strong spell

The gods are not to blame.
DeleteAjimobi is a bastard that has come to bring chaos into ibadan land. I voted for him thinking he is a civilized human being but he has done nothing but mess up the peace, environment and love in ibadan land with that product of prostitution he calls a wife. Now the battle line has been drawn with opposition on the political front and traditional front. Let's see how he will survive this without any scar.
