A BV who had her first delivery as a nurse gisted me something yesterday and i have begged her to send in for us to read......She says the woman she delivered is positive and had to undergo CS so that the baby will not be infected.
When Mother in law visited her after she birthed,MIL refused to carry the little baby...refused totally because she was scared of being infected...cant wait to read the story.
That child will not have it easy growing up at all....very sad thing.

I sent my Service Year Boulevard to SDK on Thursday last week,
detailing the travails I have encountered, so far, in my quest to serve my fatherland in Abuja. I remain gratefuL for the positive comments,pieces of advice,
suggestions and encouragements. In fact, this post is a double testimony, as it were.
(I remember suggesting that a BV should keep record of the number of
rejections I encountered so that my
appreciations and testimonies
would carry weight when I start getting favours,lol!)
FIRST TESTIMONY: THE OFFER OF A FREE ACCOMMODATION IN ABUJA
On the In House News of Friday last week, a lady asked me to contact
her or her younger brother for a FREE
accommodation in Abuja. I contacted them and exchanged a few emails
with her, and was greatly
compensated with the offer of a FREE
accommodation in the heart of Abuja. Wow! I was like: *in Jacqueline's voice* (well,remember the lady in NYSC camp in Kubwa, Abuja?) Are you kidding me right? Lol!
In fact, to make the offer more interesting, I was free to stay as
long as it would take me to stand on my feet in Abuja. I am even free to accommodate any other person if I feel like, but on the condition
that I shouldn't charge a dime for the
accommodation; for, in her own
words, freely I received and freely I should give. Honestly, some news are just too good to be true. Nevertheless, to this particular lady,
whose identity I would rather keep private, I don't know how best to
show my gratitude, but, all the same,I am very grateful and I promise not to disappoint the trust reposed in me. Well, with the accommodation issue obviously settled, the next line of action would logically be continuing my search for a Place of Primary Assignment...but that's where my second testimony comes in...
SECOND TESTIMONY: THE END OF THE SEARCH FOR A PPA IN SIGHT
In the comment section of my Service Year Boulevard post, many
concerned members of this wonderful blog kindly suggested that I should try visiting NASS, private and public schools for possible acceptance. I even considered doing all that
once I was back in Abuja.
However, on Saturday last week, on visiting my mail box, brethren (make una remember say na church mood
we dey o,lol!), to add to the
offer of a FREE accommodation, I was elated to read an email from
Stella; advising me to contact a lady for a PPA in Wuse. Consequently, I contacted the lady and I was happy when she told me that I was to
shoot a five-minute video for her; in order to assess my fluency and
positioning in front of a camera... so that I can work with her as a presenter in a popular television station.
In fact,I lack words to express my heartfelt gratitude to this two
amazing people, whom God is using to alleviate my plight in Abuja.
I now believe Jacqueline (the ''Are you kidding me right now?'' lady
on NYSC camp,Kubwa) when she told me that God sent me to Abuja for a
purpose and that I shouldn't despair
whenever I am rejected in a
particular organization, because it simply means that God does not
want me to work in a place I will not be celebrated...
So, even though I am a green horn in the camera business, let's just
hope that the video will pass the professional test; because I really like learning a lot and breaking new grounds.
Once again, I am grateful to Stella for posting my NYSC story, a
member of this blog for promising me a FREE accommodation and then
another member for the promise of Place of Primary Assignment, and of
course all the members of this blog who commented on my NYSC Boulevard with suggestions, appreciations and positive reviews. Above all, I am grateful to God for using all the people I mentioned above to affect lives.

Whoever said nobody is perfect has never met BVs.Nobody here has mouth odour,body odour,armpit odour.Nobody here is dirty or untidy.You have to give it to them though,you really can't scrub with 4 sponges and washcloths everyday and not come out squeaky clean.Everybody's held feasts at least once in their toilets and even had guests play a game of Dog where they lap up food from the sparkling floor. I love this blog where we are all extraterrestrial beings.
