I really feel sorry for unmarried people having children. These children will grow up and ask questions o! They will go to school and come home asking questions about why 'daddy' is not living with them. You cannot lie to children forever. They will ask so many questions and you cannot stifle them. Children nowadays are too inquisitive and smart. Hmmm. It is all rosy when they are still babies. My teenage children have asked all sorts of questions: mum, where did u and daddy meet? How long did you date? How did you feel when daddy first kissed you? I shudder at their 'curiosity'. I shut them up when i am tired but they will come back to ask later.
You are right my dear, my daughter is just 4 now but, she has finished me with questions. Wondering it will be like when she will be 5 6 7 8 9 and 10. Now she goes like mumy why is dad not living with us? Where does he always go to? Where are his parents? Hmmmm, Not easy o
Iya I totally get you but children should learn to feel for their parents abeg. My nephew was acting out because he didn't have a daddy. By the time they brought him to naija and he saw that even people with two parents didn't have it as good as he does, no one told him to make his mum his constant WCW. Some people don't even have parents. Some live with just their dads. People become single parents for various reasons. We should train our children to understand the uniqueness of their situations and not make the same mistakes we may have made.
I will rather raise a happy child than have a boxing mate with my child in d name of 'living with a man'. I will rather have a child and explain his/ her fathers absence with sincerity than remain single and childless to please the society, I will rather raise a legend than raise a tout with a man to prove my child has a father, there r millions of widows out there, millions of orphans ,millions of abused children children by there same FATHER!!! Stop ur myopic thots ,think ya own ,raise a JUST child thats all that matters!!! When u raise a child with love thats all that matters... All women won't b fortunate, All fingers r not equal
Iya oshoronga, those single mother's it is not by choice. Most na circumstance. I almost fell victim. My bf wanted me to get pregnant for him. Luckily I didn't agree. He still went out to marry someone else while dating me.
