Heavy Rainfall In Imo State Displaces Many...

Many residents of Owerri, the Imo State capital, have been reportedly displaced following a heavy downpour that lasted for 12 hours and resulted in flooding in the city.

Properties worth millions of Naira have reportedly been damaged.

Also, the Federal Housing Estate, which is located at Chukwuma Nwoha Road, Old CBN Quarters located at Egbu Road and the Federal Housing World Bank Estate were affected by the flood.

This is notably the first case of flood to be recorded in Imo State this year.

The displaced victims have called on the state government to come to their aid.

  6. That owerri rain was too much, the governors were warned ahead of time about flooding that would occur in some states aside benue, but we have a very dumb governor called Rochas who did absolutely nothing to take measurea but hia interest is all about demolition in so many good places,we pray never to have anyone called Rochas as a leader in Nigeria.
