Gunmen Have abducted the Director and Chief Executive Officer of Ogba Zoo, Dr. Andy Ehanire, and taken him to unknown destination. Andy Ehanire is the younger brother of a former Senator of the Federal Republic and wife of a retired army General, Mrs. Daisy Danjuma.
The hoodlums who reportedly stormed the Zoo at about 6 pm on Sunday, were said to have made away with the service rifles of three policemen after killing them.
Edo State Police Command Spokesman, DSP Moses Nkombe, who confirmed the incident on phone, said the situation has been brought under control.
The remains of the police officers have been deposited at the mortuary of the Central Hospital, in Benin.
