ReplyDeleteI went to the US embassy yesterday to make an enquiry. On getting there, I realized I forgot the document which will enable me entrance so decided to quickly print it out from my mail with some guys that do buisness at the parking lot.
When I Was done printing (which was even poorly done), I asked how much and Oga was like 1500. ONE THOUSAND,FIVE HUNDRED NAIRA!!!!!!.
I was caught unawares so repeated my question to which he responded again and I am 1,500 for one page? Sorry oga, I ddnt know, I have 200 and he said even photocopy isnt 200 but 500....Well, I just gave him 500 and left.
Ive been thinking, so just cos you are in front on US embassy, does it mean ebery there has dollas? Or everyone is travelling? Even if you are travelling, does it mean you are boxed?
A typical Nigerian takes advantage of every situation and tries to extort which is HORRIBLE!!!
On the flip side, they don't know they are reducing buisness for themselves. It is far nore cheaper to take a taxi or buy fuel and go to another cyber cafe and do your stuff (prices of taxis in Abuja arent so scary?

DeleteHmm reminds me of where I went to get relaxer, a woman was selling plantain nearby, I asked her how much for d bunch, she said 3k, another woman came n priced it, d woman said 5k last, she didn't buy, d seller said see woman driving jeep can't pay 5k for bunch of plantain! She further said if they don't overcharge those rich people, they won't make profit, I just shook my head.

DeleteToday Is Day 265 Remaining 100 days to the end of the year...Please Lagos State Gov say something about these tankers abeg...Constant Pressure on the bridge will eventually lead to its collapse and to think we dont have a maintenance culture..We are truly suffering everyday to commute to work..Lagos was rated third most stressful city in the world, I think it should be the most stressful City.
