The tension is not unconnected to the current face-off between members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and men of the Nigerian Army.
Recall that soldiers allegedly besieged the Umuahia residence of the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
The state government said the curfew starts from 6pm to 6am on Tuesday and ends on Thursday.

Nigeria need serious prayers... I wonder how 2019 ll be like...,God help us.
ReplyDeleteI'm still watching what this country will turn into.
ReplyDeleteThis country will only get better, for your information.
DeleteKanu is going to endanger the life of innocent people living in the north and igbo will be the loser at the end.
You can unleash terror on Hausa in the east and expect peace to rain in the north where majority of igbo doing business and well rooted.
Stella, capital of Abia state is Umuahia not Aba.
ReplyDeleteSecurity should pick Kanu up and everything will be calm.
ReplyDeleteAt the end Igbos will suffer more. When there's reprisal attacks at the north Igbos there will loose alot. With violence and unrests busineses will get hurt investors will avoid the east local buyers will look for alternative regions to shop. Kanu is fighting for a just cause but in a wrong way. Kanu needs to change strategy and embrace love not hate cause with that he'll get more sentiments from different regions. I wonder why he's so bent on using hate speeches. So even if biafra comes will they enjoy unfriendly neighbours? The FG is not doing the right thing. Since the clamour for biafra got heated up FG have never done anything to appease the east rather they threaten arrest or suppress ipob members. Shame
ReplyDeleteCOPIED!!!!!!! Though surrounded and besieged by pythons at the moment, Nnamdi Kanu must find a way of getting out word across to his IPOB supporters that on no account should the blood of any Stranger, be he Hausa or Fulani, be spilled! The struggle was never against innocent strangers in our midst! The struggle loses its essence once it turns violent, in which case IPOB relinquishes the moral high ground! To protect the lives and properties of strangers is a sacred duty, and that duty is binding on Kanu now, more than ever before!
ReplyDeleteWhat are u saying, stop coping and pasting things you don't understand, hain!
DeleteI just pity these gullible Nnamdi Kanu followers though they consist 90% of uneducated touts.Brexit happened calmly and diplomatically but it is quite sad that most black people think violence is the key to everything..You guys will keep killing yourselves and your families and I can assure you that this way you won't actualize your Biafra or whatever your country is called..Really sad, very very sad
