      That's not the case oh chi and bloggie. He preaches in a way that is not characteristic of a catholic priest. His is a fiery approach but sticks to the word. I read that this caused a rift between him and his bishop

    He did it for personal reasons, but it will be so greedy and irresponsible for him to resign Inorder to get married.

    I won't judge him but he shouldn't think of getting married because as a catholic we are to receive only 6 of the 7sacraments!

      @ Ideato...there's no irresponsibility in his actions. If he can no longer stick to the vow he made, rather than sin in secret, it is far better to marry and even have children LEGALLY & MORALLY in the church

    Some of this reverend fathers didn't go into this journey on their free will. Their families manipulate them into it. Imagine going into something you don't want to but because your parent want to answer mama father and papa father. It can sweet those village people. Chai. If you see where my aunt will be happy like a peacock when they are calling her mama father, you will just be laughing. It even sweet her more than when they call her mama doctor because her other son is a doctor.

    So he probably didn't find it funny anymore and decided to quit ..beforr he will sin against God. Now he can do the things he couldn't do like have relationships, marry, father kids and all.

    Abeg being at the forefront of spiritual leadership isn't by force. If he chooses to serve God in a way that gives him peace, let it be so. Just like some Pentecostals dedicate some children to be pastors when they grow up. If the child now wants to do something else with their lives, they will say you were dedictaed as a vow I made to God - Just like Hannah and prophet Samuel. I get it! However, God can still use the child in other forms of ministry- like Dorcas in the bible. It may not be that he/she will be preaching on a pulpit.
