MULTIPLE BIRTH
Today I don't know if I'm ranting or preaching but na as he dey do me I take write am.
I TTC for years before it finally happened Glory to God.
But because I was blessed with twins I'm usually asked did you take Clomid? Was it IVF?
When I tell them the honest truth. I asked God for twins and he gave me. They are like Just like that?
Wait o so since medical science has advanced God cannot bless somebody again?
But he did it for me and when I say it they just feel I'm being spiritual.
They would rather I tell them the hospital I used. The gynaecologists I visited, the drugs I took etc.
Even online it's worse on blogs. We read about a celebrity who is over 40 or has been TTC for long now blessed with multiples the comments section becomes lit everyone talking about how she must have used medical assistant. The funny thing is that I have even become guilty of that, me sef don dey follow dey ask because whether you realize it or not with time you become what you read or hear.
Don't get me wrong I have nothing against medicine. I did all sort all test when I was TTC.
My concern is even though we talk about God a lot these days but it's easier to believe science did it. It's only when it becomes medical impossible that we say let's hand it over to God.
My grandma had 3sets of twins. I have aunties that gave birth till their 50s and the funny thing is that most of them were uneducated and didn't know anything about eggs reducing when you get to 35. I didn't think it was hard for older women to get pregnant until I was started reading about it.
I believe medical science is a gift from God. But I also believe God is still a miracle worker.
Let me end with this conversation with my friend.

DeleteSo I read spontaneous post today (truthfully don't read it everyday) and saw Default Smile's comment.
DeleteAll I can say is hmmm and thank God for vindication.
I love kids a lot. I cry with people who are TTC cos I believe everybody deserves that happiness. So imagine my shock the day some children of anger here decided to knock my heads with Default.
Many things on this blog doesn't affect me. But you see that issue, it made me take out time to pray for that lady even though i was misunderstood. At thesame time asked God to drop a vindication at his time (not like it mattered so much. But some bitter leaf Cynthias here that hate my moniker* won't stop pinching that issue).
Default smile has an attitude*. I am no saint, but i wasn't asking for prayers. When i noticed it, i dropped a comment out of concern for her that she should drop that attitude so people will pray for her with good mind. Or get a new moniker for her attitude so she wouldn't be clashing her prayers herself. The negativity and twist that followed that comment is best imagined.
Funny enough she did drop the attitude, probably to prove to those throwing side comments how wrong i was. But i was still glad she did because it brought her her blessings which was all that mattered.
Today, she dropped her office experience with hope that blog visitors will cheer her on. Unfortunately, the first commenter who was against her is one of THEIR favorites, so others followed suit to correct her.
The reason I am typing this EPISTLE is for those who have brains to know when to ACCEPT truth* even if it came bitter or came from someone you hate. Sometimes the people you love to attatch yourself to cos they give you soft landing are the people that will destroy you.
I have no comment on what you said happened in your office nonetheless.
Just wanted to bare my mind.

On that bleaching post, yesterday, I was with my childhood friend and as we were gisting, I noticed the colour of her toes (is it also knuckles (finger for toes?) and it was as dark as what I can't explain. Against a very very Yellow skin. She had bleached so much that the veins on her legs down to her legs were extremely obvious. I screamed and told her she had to stop using whatever cream she's using. I don't normally judge people who want to lighten their skin but my p with this one is that, she's always been a light skinned girl. She was my childhood friend so I know. I don't understand, why do light skinned ladies still bleach, I understand dark skinned girls want to be lighter but u light skinned babes that bleach, biko, what's ur issue. I myself have passed through so much, enough to hate God and deny him,I even contemplated suicide at a point but here I am still believing him and trusting him even when things are still not better than they were. My child woke up with a high fever this morning, no where to run to, owing people here and there, I gave paracetamol and prayed to God, the fever is still there but I still believe in him, it's better than not believing in anything. At least you have someone to look up to especially when all else abandon you, hope makes you strong, prevents you from breaking down completely. so my dear, discarded that thought, God will perfect everything at his time. I dunno how I Missed the crying movies post but I can remember I cried so hard for kabhie khushi kabhi gham, kuch kuch hota hai and recently even cried while rewatching this main prem ki deewani hoon.
ReplyDeleteInfact, I cry for almost all movies, even movies I don't like but managing to watch. Afmag, yoruba, cartoons sef join. Once a good person's eyes gets clouded with tears, I'm way ahead of them crying already.
I will never forget when I was still quite little and I was watching 'iru esin' at a neighbour's. I cried so hard that my neighbor had to take me home telling me the movie wasn't for someone like me.
I have tried to control this cos my siblings don't help matters with their mockery but I gave up and have embraced my cry cry sef wholeheartedly

ReplyDeleteJust went through the comments on the crying movies post and I see some ppl have seen kabhie khushi. That has to be my best Indian movie of all times. It had the best cast ever. Amitabh bachan, hrithik Roshan, Shahrukh khan, kareena Kapoor, kajol.

Chai my mum sent me beans and plantain. Mama's beans is the best 👐 beans, the taste never changes, experienced hands. Beans with junctions and road blocks!! Stock fish, diced meat, dry fish, shrimp. Every spoon has a pothole or junction. I ate half and kept half in the fridge. I usually don't eat beans after 2pm (digests longer, constipation etc) but this one...NO WAY!! I'm ready to fart all night 😂😂
