I have done my own blog friendship appreciation weeks ago so I'd pass and share my life experience with a friend.
ReplyDeleteSo a friend and I were hanging out after work yesterday to catch up on lost times after our reconciliation following a disagreement. I started looking for my phone which was on silent. I have this habit of not using ring tones, so my phones are always on silent. He used his phone to dial my number and said "the light from the screen will guide us to where it is". And yes the light did guide us but guess the name on the screen? "idiot", before I could hide it his eyes caught it and we both screamed. I screamed because I had completely forgotten I saved his number that way, I was so confused for seconds and I suddenly realized I had a stammering gene. I had to apologize and explain that I saved his number that way after what he did and because he wouldn't stop calling even after cutting him off at the time I saved it that way to remind me that he wronged me (I tend to forgive too easily). I edited it back to his name in his presence. He was quite calm about it because if situations were reversed I'd honestly freak out. I still feel bad about it and a little embarrassed but all is well. Anyway, I look forward to the long weekend.
Oh dear.. Can't imagine it happening to me, either as the victim or "doer". I will be super speechless... Me that im i hardly edit naames and even tho i may not save the names in insultive ways, i save them in ways i can best recal which are not so cool with some people. However, in spite of his ordeal, he still proclaimed that God was alive. Many people tend to believe that God is not alive or that He is not who He says He is, just because of the severe trials of faith they are facing. Problems can never take God away. He doesn’t cease to exist just because He has not answered your prayers. How much faith can you repose in God while going through difficult times? This is a true test of your character.

Arguing with people who start to question God in times of distress is futile, because at that point nothing you say makes sense to them. Easiest way to avoid the discussion is for them to start wishing you all they are going through and that's too much negative energy to have around #IMO. Plus, I think its an insult to make God a subject of arguments day-in-day-out. If things were going smoothly for you, will you have typed that comment? NO. Even people who have no faith in God don't start challenging what they believe in when they have temporary difficulties. I'm not gonna try to make you believe in God or His truth, because it takes a deeper understanding to. Vice and virtue 's comment last night really hit home because my flatmate in that same mansfield suffered depression for so long his family had to come take him home,so to anybody depressed here ,there are answers, I assure you, but they buried deep down inside of you, not outside of you. Don't give up...that will never bring about positive change for you, but if you have no desire to move out of your depression, you will stay there. but change has to start with your own determination to move out of it. You have to choose to be open minded because its your mind that has you trapped in the depression. If you are willing to learn new ways to think, and look at yourself, there is hope. Telling yourself that there are no answers leaves you helpless. You have to put forth the effort to dig through the blackness deep down. I know it can be so scary and seem to be impossible, but its not. It gets easier. find someone to help you dig through your mind and soul, find the real you and you will be free, but you have to choose to take that journey. It's worth it,no matter what your mind tells you. You are not your thoughts...and your thoughts make a terrible master. You must must be master of your mind, and this takes determination. Also seek God...you must learn to love yourself. The real you...not the one you feel while you are depressed. That is not you. good luck, you deserve to be happy...we all do. Don't let your mind tell you otherwise. To Ryan though you have cut off contacts with every one, my thoughts and prayers are always with you,vice and virtue and every other person who is down.
