ReplyDeleteThe Son obeyed his father. It took him weeks to reach that place. The young man saw a very big and beautiful castle on the mountain top.
After entering the castle, while moving towards the main hall of the castle he saw lots of people. Some were tradesmen, some playing soft music, some were conversing in a corner. The Young man was surprised to see all this. He saw that the wise man conversed with everyone who came to meet him. The Young man had to wait for hours for his turn to meet the wise man.
When the young man met the wise man and told him about his reason for coming there. The Wise Man listened to him and said, “I will answer you later.. Meanwhile, look around the castle and return after 3 hours.”
The Wise man handed him a teaspoon with some drops of oil in it and said, “As you wander around carry this spoon with you without dropping or spilling any oil from the spoon.”
The Young man agreed and went with that spoon. After 3 hours he came back to the wise man.
The Wise man asked, “Well, my dear.. tell me did you see beautiful carving on the walls of the castle?? Did you see the beautiful garden??”
The Boy hesitated at first but then confessed that he observed nothing as his only concern was to save that oil from spilling from the spoon, which was given to him by wise man.
The Wise man said, “Now, again go around the castle carrying this spoon with oil but this time see and enjoy the beauty of the castle too..”
The Young man again took the spoon and went to explore the castle. This time he observed all the art works, gardens, mountains and the beauty of the flowers. Upon returning to the wise man, he related in details everything he had seen.
The Wise smiled and said, “I am happy that you liked what you saw but tell me one thing.. where is the oil which you were carrying in this spoon??”
The Young man almost forgot about the oil and spoon. Then he saw that all the oil was gone from the spoon while he was busy admiring the beautiful castle. “Well, young man... there is only one I can give you.. about the "secret of happiness" which is to see all the Beauty's and Marvel's of the world but never to forget the drops of oil on the spoon”, said the wise man.
Moral: The Secret of Happiness is to Enjoy life but never to forget your Responsibility.

Obeying His commandments makes us better people..yea?
In times of distress,if we run to him as opposed to alcohol and drugs even people, we find succour..yea?
So why not believe?
Now, what do we lose by believing in God?
Some say the freewill to do as you like.
Others say we refuse to work hard and depend totally on God,thus making us lazy and unproductive.
Well, this is to some extent true..
But does it outweigh the benefits?
No.
I've realised that most people that say religion is a scam refer to Christianity.

woke up this morning with a heart filled with gratitude to God almighty for the gift of life. i thank him for shelter, daily bread,clothing. i thank him for good health. i truly appreciate his love upon my life and my family. even in our unfaithfulness he is faithful. what a mighty God we serve.
