    2. I blended the banana(after which it turned dark) and then I mixed with egg and fried. Is it probably cos I blended the banana instead of mashing it?

    3. @broomstick since you know how to prepare it well, why not teach her your own techniques than asking questions.

    5. Jew-di, the egg is supposed to be what you use in blending the banana not water(I'm assuming you used a little water). I blended today's own, just to test it and it didn't darken. Forget the picture up there and also remember that banana tends to darken when exposed for a while. Try blending your banana and eggs together. Hope you have a better outcome.
Anonymous 11:06, I either mash, like Stella posted, or I grate. This is why I asked how she did hers. Never be afraid of questions. Do have a blessed weekend

  19. Stella oooooo! Please send the fresh strawberries. I'm tired of the frozen ones. First day I saw this and tried at home(I love bananas so we always have some at home) my mum just kept saying "you've come with another silly concoction"(I can mix silly things eg drinking garri with TomTom sweet). After I was done frying and she tasted it, she fell in love and now it's an almost everyday breakfast for her. Sometimes I wish I liked conventional food

    ReplyDelete

    1. Actually, I don't. I like experimenting though(sometimes, cringe worthy lol). Have you eaten fried cocoyam before? I tried it and liked it but not repeating the experience. Like I said, conventional food is a problem for me. I don't like rice, beans, yam, garri(eba) and spaghetti/noodles. Comot all these things, wetin remain? Bread, biscuit, oats and some cereals. Oh, I almost forgot one conventional food I love-ekpang in all its forms(ekpang nkukwo/ekpang iwa/anyan ekpang/iwe ekpang). Maybe I'll agree sef that I love food. Now, who's in calabar and has prepared or is preparing ekpang today? Invite me,pretty pleeeeeease šŸ˜˜šŸ˜˜šŸ˜˜

I personally dnt like uziza leaf so I use
      Pumpkin
      Those wide leaves
      Scent leaf
      Curry leaf (ebihi in Edo)
PLENTY onions and crayfish, pepper and blend together (some pple add tomatoes but i dnt bcx it can easily get spoilt)

After blending, put in a pot,add all ur fish, kpomo, meat whatever u wish to use (most importantly, enough scattered dried or smoked fish)

Instead of using normal maggi cubes, use local maggi (evbarie in Edo)

Leave for abt 10 mins n drop. It goes wt everything. Eba, starch, rice, yam, etc

      Pardon any gbagaun

  23. I will share the recipe to my breakfast this morning.
I had tea, brandy and one chocolate.

You will need two teabags(black tea, whichever brand you like,I use ThƩ),water, one sweet chocolate..

Boil some water.Put your teabags in a mug while waiting for the water to boil.Once it does, pour into the mug and let your tea seep for a few minutes depending on how strong you like your tea.The longer it seeps, the deeper the taste. Then discard tea bags(I don't as I like very strong tea).

Measure out a teaspoonful(or more depending on your tolerance level) of your favorite brandy(It's St.Remy for me) and add to the mug of tea.Stir well and you are done.

Enjoy while nibbling on decadent chocolate. The sweetness contrasts deliciously with the slightly bitter taste of tea. This is guaranteed to warm you up in no time.

Bon appetit to all the mermaids!

    1. Let me suggest something that has helped my pocket now that iced fish is so expensive. I like geisha and Titus(na their common names). A tin isn't more than N300. The pieces aren't as big as what you'd get from the bonga fish but, depending on your budget, they could work for you in the same way.
